I caught that also. :). He has quite a few facts incorrect in this video, but that is OK, we get the drift. LOL! I would like to know if he actually heard Gabby say those complementary things about Sydney or is this just hearsay. I can see Syd complementing Gabby, but the other way around, I just can't see it since Syd wasn't invited to the Athlos event run by Gabby. I hope I am wrong here, really. Alexis was a great team member on the 4X400M and her split was 48 high which was faster than Gabby's 49.4. I am not knocking Gabby, but give Alexis the credit she is due. :)
@@philphil4295 And Alexis was under no pressure. I really think that going into her 3rd year as a pro, she will be one to watch. I believe that she has it in her. The question is whether she and Boogie Johnson can bring it out.
@@Tadaia First off, everybody knows I am a Syd fan. :) I like Alexis as she works hard ... and I wish here good fortune in 2025. However, the one to really watch is Brittany Brown in the 200M! I don't believe Gabby can beat Brittny any longer. At this point after watching Syd's 2024 season carefully, I would speculate that Syd will run the 200M in the low 21s or high 20s in 2025 and also the 400M in the very low 48s or high 47s. It's almost guarranteed that Syd will run high 49s in the 400MH as she has hinted she would. 2025 is going to be an exciting season for TNF! Good luck and God bless all our USA TNF athletes. :)
@@philphil4295 I agree on Brittany. I was shouting her out this past year when people kept ignoring her. I think she gets even stronger this year. While we're on the subject, Mckenzie Long - NCAA triple winner, has gotten some much needed rest and will also be ready for '25. Its going to be an exciting year.
I love and appreciate Gabby Thomas, but, Sydney should have gotten the award for female athlete of the year. She set another world record in the 400 hurdles and had the fastest split for the women’s mile relay. And Sydney could have run any leg on gold medal winning 4x100, she’s just that good.
I don't have a problem with Gabby Thomas winning the JJK award. Although, Sydney is the greatest American track athlete since Michael Johnson or Carl Lewis, it was Gabby who actually competed the whole season. Three Olympic gold medals, her off-the-track academic and professional/humanitarian accomplishments, and her female role model influence as a black woman merit the award for me. And, how about Alexis Rogers? She's pretty good, too.
Alexis Holmes was the anchor, please correct your video.
Alexis Holmes was the anchor on this Olympic 4x400 relay not Raven Rogers. They achieved the second fastest time in history.
