For anyone still confused on the Capturing Radiance thing it's basically a fancy way of them saying that they changed the rates to 55/45 if you're on 50/50 (which basically doesn't make it 50/50 anymore). Also I believe that if you encounter that event that means you were actually supposed to lose so it counts as you losing and giving you a guarantee as well.

Math: Its a 50% win and 50% lose so, 50% you do 70 pulls and 50% you do 140 therefore an average of 105. Now the new system: 55% win and 45 % lose so 0.55*70 + 0.45*140 = 101.5 And 105 - 101.5 = 3.5 wishes saved TLDR: you save 3.5 pulls every 100 wishes made now Before i explain how I came to the conclusion the new thing has a 10% chance, keep the following in mind: 1. it triggers before you win or lose to guarantee the featured character. So the remaining chance goes to the 50/50 2. We know that the new probability is 55/45 which has extra 5% in win 3. the new mechanic guarantees a win >> increases only chance of winning 4. the odds of 50/50 alone has not been changed so ignoring the capturing radiance mechanic the odds of losing and winning are same so losing odds = winning odds without mechanic=45% So assuming 'x%' as the chance for 'capturing radiance mechanic' and y to be 50/50 odds x + y + y =100% (from 1) x + 45% + 45% = 100% (from 4) x = 10% So you are expected to see the capturing radiance mechanic once every 10 times you hit pity or once every 700 pulls 😂. crazy how almost all of the issues have been addressed or fixed in the last few months, many things may still not be as good as hsr but its definitely better. now all we need is less paimon and more traveler speaking lines, permanent replayable events (at least the story ones esp albedo stuff), purchasable shop 5 star weapons, resin overflow like hsr, and improvements to the starter banner (not even really a typical complaint i dont think its just that hsr has a way better starter banner) it seems that the amount of artifacts you can pick stats for is going to be lower than self modeling resin but i guess thats balanced out by the fact you can pick two substats. mihoyo is actually cooking for once and i love it
