Honestly Jonathan and Simone was perfectly cast... what was lacking is more bonding scenes between their characters it wasn't just attraction between them but they bonded
Yeah, they definitely needed more intimate scenes with one another! But, the chemistry / tension between them made up for it! The actor who plays Anthony said something along those lines too! They are my favourite couple so far! ❤️🙌🏽 I'm glad we get to see them again in the upcoming seasons!

I’m going to disagree here. I think that the lack of bonding and getting along is what enhances the tension and electricity between them. Because it’s an unspoken chemistry. Had they bonded more, I wouldn’t understand why they’d be so reluctant to accept that they’re into each other. The show gave them enough bonding moments to make it so that you understood the attraction for one another but also understood why they’d try to deny their feelings (aside from the sister).

Simone Ashley is absolutely stunningly gorgeous. She played this role perfectly. The only unbelievable part of this Season was to think her little sister was considered “The Diamond”. Simone steals every scene that she’s in with her beauty. Loved Kate and Antony’s story. Only critique was they played up her sister’s affection for him too much and they needed way more screen time together.

I think Kate was too old to be considered a Diamond because she was in her late twenties. So she was pretty much a spinster. Thing is, and I have not read the books, if Edwina wasn't in love with Anthony, what would Kate's motivations be? Part of Kate's reluctance to "give in" was the fact that she loved her sister and did not want to take Anthony from her, after her sister showed real interest in him.

Season 2 was so good! So much better than season 1 (which was already great). Jonathan Bailey is PERFECT as a Regency gentleman. He gave me serious Darcy vibes ❤️❤️❤️❤️

All of their scene are freaking phenomenal, the chemistry is beyond the charts. Their intense gaze, the way they breathe each other and look at each other, the way they would touch each other so softly yet making it look like they're touching fire.... is just maddening. The scene where he asked why does she dislike him is my ultimate favorite. The way he spoke those words to her with such a deep captivating voice and breathed in her ears was just out of this world, I literally started screaming and couldn't even breathe for a second... I had to stop watching, go out and breathe some fresh air and collect myself. This season is far better than season 1, it's more enjoyable and dynamic because of these two. I'm gonna re-watch it till I remember every detail of their story.

I loved those close up scenes where he's breathing into her, almost like he is seducing her. He was always breathing in her scent. They took your breath away❤❤.

Whomever said that S2 is a flopped doesn't even know that "I Burn for you" isn't the Duke's but Anthony's and doesn't understand chemistry, the love there with merely just gazes! I hope to see them from the nxt seasons cus they were and will always be my faves from book to this. Just great casting!
I was so mad when Simon said “I burn for you” to Daphne. That phrase was Anthony’s (and Benedict’s).
She is really beautiful, she looks like an Indian princess. I loved the fact that every time they were in a room together, the attraction and chemistry was something wow

What I liked about the book was that he was so open to talking about his father with her. like he did with no one else. He did in the series a bit but I do agree I would have loved to see more of them. Love this edit though. There are so many good scenes. Everything they step into the same place its electric.

I loved the fact that in the moments we got to see Daphne it was to help Anthony understand what love is and that that’s what he was feeling for Kate. What a great edit and a phenomenal season we were given. Can’t wait for season 3! ♥️

Most people are mad that they didn't spend time together as much (the writers giving more screen time to unneeded subplots). Also I hated what they did to them in the last episode . The writers spent more time giving other characters more screen time, and didn't even show use their wedding. I love them so I just wanted them to explore them in depth just like the books without the love triangle nonsense

Just perfect! 💕 They are my faves of the series; the slow burn was so worth the wait! I can't wait to see them come back with their children and to see how married life suits them in the coming seasons! 🤗
I LOVED the series!! but I think one more episode would be perfect, like: leaving the scene where they declare for this last episode, and showing the preparations for their wedding, in Aubrey hall, a scenes of them on the stool talking about anthony's father, and how he had this idea of not outliving him, and kate talking about her mother's situation and fear of rain, the anthony seducing scene where he asks kate what time her mom will be back with Newton, it would be amazing lol, and then the final scene of their series in bed and then getting together with the family, for me it would be the
perfect ending

They were perfect, but they fucking ruined the series by removing Kate's fear of the thunderstorm and that very potent scene where Antony calms her down and the fact that edwina was never really in love with him- not to mention they just didn't have enough screen time, the acting was effing phenomenal, if only they did away with the stupid love triangle-

kate and anthony have been my favorite couple in books for years!! it pains me SO much... that's why when we select a book without TRIANGLES is for a reason. I don't know if is shonda fault or what but julia should have protected a little more this couple!!! plus, they did dirty the beautiful relation between edwina and kate. I love the actors and their characters... but yeah if you read bridgerton before this tv show, better watch this without expectatives and go back to read the book inmediately hahahaha

Exactlyyyyy ohmigod there should have been so much more wit and intimacy built it into their scenes but it jumped so quickly from hatred to lust and missed everything that came after. Their actually love story lasted around 5 minutes at the end of the season! There’s so much more to them it hurt to watch them rip it all out 😭

DAYUM. This was a major major improvement from the first season and wow. They worked well together. I loved the flashbacks with Anthony. It would have helped make Daphne’s story more gripping ❤️

I watched Bridgerton S1 & S2 for the 2nd time just to check the chemistry again between Simon/Daphne and Anthony/Kate. S2 had less intimate scenes but the intense longing was definitely 🔥🔥🔥 there. Which is maybe why a lot of fans was a bit disappointed because the culmination of their feelings came only at the end.
