it’s all fun and games until u realize that jaemin “messed up” the choreo bc he was initially going to do haechan’s part which is HIS part in the 5dream version, and chenle running in to cover for mark & knowing the choreo bc he’d actually take that spot when they perform as 5 it’s always nct dream adjusting for the other units every time haechan and mark leaves for an nct 127 schedule. nct dream would rearrange the parts and the dance formations several times-even when jisung got injured, rj had to take his intro for boom. nct dream don’t get enough credit as a separate unit. their achievements are mentioned as an achievement by the entire nct, it’s sad. they’ve done so much for the brand yet the company never prioritizes their comfort.
THIS THIS THIS Mark is literally in EVERY unit with multiple difficult choreographies to memorize the only unit he isnt in is WayV but I’m almost 100% sure that if sm does make NCT Hollywood he’s gonna be in it or one of the main mentors for the trainees- not only that for the time he wasn’t with Dreamies he didn’t get as much time to work on Boom or Ridin’ plus and when he did join back in they had to rearrange some of the formations and lines to adapt Haechan is in 127 and this year participated in U as a main vocalist and there’s been times where unit promotions clash Whenever dream is missing a member they have to adapt U seems to be the least affected since it’s a rotating unit 127 and dream are fixed units and I’m not saying 127 doesn’t work hard or that the other members don’t because they all work extremely hard but it just seems like the Dreamies are always the most affected by lineup changes and schedule clashes

They were a solid unit and their concept was better received than 127's but because they were meant to have the growing up system it meant they were always supposed to be in flux and I guess SM finally realized that wouldn't work once Mark left and all the fans were still emotionally attached to 7Dream, calling for him to come back. That time period, in my opinion, was when SM really didn't know what to do so Dream was left having to adjust for 127 whom SM did have a plan for and were currently the ones SM was using to push their agenda to expand into America, which has been their goal for a long time. Boom was a success and Dream had their tour, but SM was still concentrating on America and they only had 127 to expand into America with so as a consequence 127 took priority in their eyes over Dream, who were performing to an audience in Asia where SM was already well established. It was kind of a stupid idea in my opinion but oh well SM will do what SM does and now all of NCT has gained so much attention which is great. But then SM finally got their shit together in 2020 and now everything's good..... (until NCT Hollywood...).

It's actually pretty impressive how Haechan instantly knows which part of the choreography needs to be danced during a particular verse of the song (cause they sometimes have different choreos for the same verses) despite having to memorize 127 and U choreos as well, add to that, he also knows the choreographies of OTHER GROUPS' songs. Lol
It's not he remembered it. He just told them to dance to 1st verse for any song that was played, even though It's the 2nd verse that was played. So that it's easy for them to match. I saw many other idols that did that before.
Poor dreamies, they get confused because of the change of parts whenever mark and haechan have activities for 127… and mark has over 50 choreos in his system. They don’t get enough credit for this. They put so much effort, I hope no one hates on them for this

this is honestly just a testament to how good dream is and how much shit they get put through in comparison to the other units. after their debut, one of their members was out for over a year with a back injury. so they learned early on the importance of learning formations and being flexible with them. this is obvious when you look at scheduling conflicts between 127 and dream, mark's graduation, and both haechan and jisung's injuries. dream is always the unit changing formations due to absences and additions. we don't see big formation changes like this with 127 (with the exception of a few times) or WayV because they're fixed units. dream i suppose was always going to have to get used to this constant changing of formations due to their graduation system (though it is no longer being implemented). all of this to say, dream is consistently doing a fantastic job despite unideal circumstances and have been doing so since they were literal children and i hope sm starts focusing more resources on them.

When Red Velvet went on, they danced to other companies' songs? Same with NCT 2018? Even SHINee danced to one of Lee Hyori's songs in 2012. Admittedly, SM is really bad at letting their artists perform with other companies' artists or their songs, but I wouldn't say that them performing other companies' songs have never happened??

I actually beileve mark in his interview with eric. I think it's easy for him to remember steps IF he consistently danced and listened to the songs with choreos. But he graduated in dream for what? 2 years? not like the rest of the dreamies, mark didn't dance their choreos for 2 years which is why i think he lost the muscle memory. But i still find it pretty amazing how he remembers half of the choreo in this video

@@rubinakhan1553 Red Velvet has also danced to BTS during a Random Play Dance, and NCT 2018 danced to JYP songs and Momoland. I can't quite remember if NCT 2018 danced to other boy groups or Red Velvet danced to other girl groups, but, regardless, SM is hella shady, and what you said probably is some of their thought process.

I actually beileve mark in his interview with eric. I think it's easy for him to remember steps IF he consistently danced and listened to the songs with choreos. But he graduated in dream for what? 2 years? not like the rest of the dreamies, mark didn't dance their choreos for 2 years which is why i think he lost the muscle memory. But i still find it pretty amazing how he remembers half of the choreo in this video
