Beautiful Weekend Away at Bull I' Th' Thorn Campsite

Hello and welcome back to another video. In todays video we are having a long weekend away at a beautiful site in the Peak District called Bull i Th Thorn.
Join us as spend the weekend exploring the local area.
After arriving we have some pizza at the on site pub and pizzeria of the same name as the campsite.
The next day we embark on a circular walk, taking in a pub (standard) and an incredible ice cream shop. We finish the day off by cooking some food on the fire and Cadac.
The following day we take a walk down the Tissington Trail and explore another pub!

we have a Transporter sized, fully converted van similar to yours only a Fiat and obviously to make more space, when you need it, you take the tent. We have now bought a 4 berth fixed bed caravan and doing so have stumbled on the perfect combo for all occasions. We tow the caravan with the camper van now ( perfect tow vehicle ) then use the campervan as a day van with amenities when we venture away from the caravan based on the camp site, or when we go on a touring like trip on narrower rural roads, like the NC 500, we just take the campervan. Our set up now covers every camping scenario, much better and more logistically able than a large motorhome that you can't park anywhere off the camp site.

Great trip . Random question what do you do with the pop top when it’s been soaked over night? Do you leave it to dry out or is it ok to pop down and get on with things?

Thank you 😊 Ideally we would leave the pop top to dry out after it’s been soaked. If we do need to move the van while it’s still wet, we would put it down, get on with things and just make sure that we pop it up to dry at the nearest opportunity. Thanks for watching 😊
