      Grew up going swimming as soon as the ice left on the Swift and Saco in the 60-70’s❤

    My hometown is N. Conway so thank-you from Quincy, Illinois❤pronounced locally as Kang a Mang us, I was born in 56 and remember it unpaved and primordial great for swims in the mid summer.

    It's open all year. It used be closed back when they didn't plow it. That changed a while ago.

      ​​@@BillMarionYou were pronouncing it correctly in your video. Yes, us locals often pronounce it as the poster above explained, but it's technically incorrect. A lot of us add an extra "n" where it doesn't exist for some bizarre reason. And realistically, we all just call it the "Kanc" anyways. I can't recall the last time I heard someone around here call it by it's full name.
