I’m not a railroader and don’t plan to be but I’m very intrigued by the videos and the work life balance. I always kinda thought my work life balance sucks. But my schedule has absolutely nothing on you railroad’s schedule. But I really commented on this to tell you about the Royer Boot. My work provides us. They are a Canadian boot company but damn they are warm and very very comfortable.

Your the man Kurtis. People don't realize how much your changing lives with these videos. So I am about to get my boot. Soft toe is 10 bucks cheaper then composite toe. Do u kick alot of stuff doing this job? I know they aren't gonna save anything in a accident. But thought for 10 more dollars might as well try the composite toe. Lol. Just thinking.

Composites aren't bad & are worth the 10 bucks. Because they aren't steel they don't freeze in the winter which is a plus. Protect your feet at all costs. Wool socks no matter what time of year. They keep your feet warm and in the summer they dry fast and don't smell like death warmed over after a shift! Thinner ones for the summer, thicker hunting style for the colder months!

As long as they meet that criteria you are good. 90° heel, 6 inches tall, non leather soles, leather or leather like material and laces up 👍🏻🚂.
