- Country music treasure John Anderson brings his pure country hits that helped changed the course of country music to Fairfield's Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts, Thursday, January 17 at 7:30 p.m. Anderson is a seasoned and improved model of the same tried-and-true, dyed-in-the-wool country vocalist who has brought a renewed beauty and elegance to the twin-fiddle, steel guitar tradition of the old-time honky-tonk balladeer.
Anderson is an influence to many of today's country artists and a colorful character that has enjoyed a 30 year storied career in country music. Starting in 1977, he has charted more than 40 singles on the Billboard country music charts, including seven number one hits. : "Wild and Blue", "Swingin'", "Black Sheep", "Straight Tequila Night", "Seminole Wind", "Money in the Bank", and "I Wish I Could Have Been There".

It's a beautifully written song, he is a gifted writer, a master lyrist and musician, the accompanying arranged instruments make it so special kind of a sophisticated Cajun. I wonder if he has a Seminole heritage, it seems to speak to the heart of the Seminole. I've also seen the Seminole Lady Shea video and it got me curious about the lyrics. I recently just discovered this song, thank you TH-cam.
