- A short film of 55022 "Royal Scots Grey" having arrived back at London Kings Cross with the "Deltic Scotsman Farewell" of 2nd January 1982. This was shot on Super-8 Ektachrome 160 so it's a bit grainy, but film of this event is pretty rare, especially in sound. I hope it brings back some memories for those who were there.
Shivers down my spine and tears in my eyes even now. Never seen anything like it.
Amazing Stuart. I was there and it's a day I'll never forget. I'd been on the train and just couldn't believe the scenes when we emerged from the tunnels. Seeing this still gets me all emotional, even after forty years. Many thanks for posting.
