The equation that Wierd Al sang is actually one of the proposed ways of calculating the area under a curve in CALCULUS that Newton helped develop. There are a range of answers (~64) and one of the answers that actually makes a REALLY accurate answer is "i" as in, the imaginary number that is the square-root of -1. It just really shows how awesome the lyrics are for this battle.

Bill Nye isn't really meant to be an Isaac Newton. You can say what you will about him, but the fact is he was a great influence who helped make science fun for kids and teens growing up and got them interested into the field of science. He also simplified science in many ways to make it more understandable in general. And it's not as if he isn't intelligent, but it takes a certain kind of person to be on the level of coming up with solutions to age old questions, like Einstein and Newton and Hawking. Bill Nye is more like your awesome science teacher who you can tell is passionate about their subject and wants to help teach you and give you the tools to succeed.
