Brothers & Sisters ranks in the Top 10 of my twenty all-time favorite shows. It was incredibly written and starred a phenomenal cast. There will never be another show like it.
The is the best show in history. I have no words to describe how much I loved it. I watched it in my teens, strange but it spoke to me. I'll always dream of it coming back. From London with love X
This show affected me. In such a wonderful way. Your words are so spot-on to my feelings, I know what you meant, despite 3 years past when you wrote it. :) I’ve never understood the decision to cancel this show. Heartbreak. So many great stories were still in the making. High quality. ps, I was 50 when you wrote your comment. 😊
I'm just finding out about this show in 2022 and I really do love it. I'm close to the last season and I don't want it to end. Thanks for a wonderful show.
I think I remember knowing it existed… But it was something I never turned on… But Hulu automatically put it on for me a couple weeks ago and I have not been able to stop watching… I wish I had given it a chance back when it first came on… I love the show
I also found out about it recently, and I'm barely on the 3rd season. Every character is phenomenal and special in their own way, which makes the show so so good. It's probably the best thing I've ever seen, and that says a lot because I usually stop watching a show after a while. But Brothers & Sisters has something that draws me back to it for more and more episodes and adventures.
I miss this show so much we had The Walkers Ugly Betty Desperate Housewives Lost and Grey’s Anatomy ALL ON TV AT ONCE ABC was fucking king in the mid 00s omfg.
I watched the Kevin x Scotty storyline ages ago and loved it a lot... Two months ago I decided that I wanted to watch it again (cause I’ve missed them a lot lately), but this time I watched the entire serie, not just Kevin’s storyline. And let me tell you, I did come for Kevin and Scotty and I did stay for them but I also stayed for the relationship between the brothers and sisters. This serie has a very intriguing storyline and each and every sibling has its own character, and to me all of their characters were very loving and relatable. And I loved Nora, she was essential to the siblings, she was their support system through and through. The overall production of this serie was great, and that’s a lot coming from me since I’m never intrigued by dramaseries. I’m definitely going to miss the Walkers. They are the perfect recipe for the chaotic but heartwarming family 😄 Also my love for Kevin and Scotty is timeless, Matthew and Luke portrayed the characters amazingly, for which they’ll be forever loved. Watching the serie in it’s entirety made me love Kevin and Scotty even more, cause now I saw their relationship with the other characters and it just adds another level of appreciation to their characters. After seeing the huge succes of brothers and sisters I might give Ken Olin’s newer production “this is us” a try, hope it will be just as good. Also!!! The most important note: if you love Matthew Rhys, then I’ll definitely recommend watching him in Perry Mason, his versatility as an actor definitely shines through in this one. You should also watch “the Americans” if you haven’t already
Same I'm watching this series for Kevin & Scotty(currently in season 3 ep 1) I feel sad that soon I'll finish this sitcom Can recommend me some more sitcoms/series which i can binge watch like this with goood story line and plot twists (also i have a weird obsession with old shows than new ones on Netflix etc...which lacks something idk what)
I remember Brothers and sisters from back in the day, but Ch4 (a UK television station) has the habit of starting a show, moving it about in the schedules and then bailing at some random point. Another channel recently picked up the show from the beginning, but was only showing episodes once a week. I got impatient and got the boxsets of the final three series. Frankly, I had forgotten so much it was good to start again and see the Walkers through to the end.
I'm watching this show again right now I loved it but I hate it when I get to the last season and watching most of the cast leave one by one......i was even sad when holly left who i have to say I did grow to love too ❤
Jezz, this episode is great, gives a great insight and cast a new light on the characters! If i had seen it when i first watched the show, my vision of the characters would be a lot different!
That scene with Justin going off at Holly should've been included in the series. He definitely struck me as the sort that would go out of his way to defend his family, and that scene would've been perfect. Besides, someone in the Walker Family had to put Holly in her place and not back-down when Holly opened her mouth.
Iam the same. It like my family. Very close to home this show. It f I was ever missing my family I'd watch Brothers and Sisters. Deserves to come back. Brilliant comes to mind when I think of this show. Great cast great writing just a great production in general I think they could've stretched it out another couple of years. There were some unsolved issues that we didn't get to see but that's OK I guess. Other than that. My favourite show in the world apart from Young Talent Time. A Australian TV show in the 80s. Absolutley love that show as well
I miss them too!!!!! I've watched the series on Netflix 4 times and every single time I start it, it's like coming home, like visiting with old friends.
I wished they would have included this epi in the series. Especially the scene where Justin yells at Holly. I never liked her from the beginning. She always felt so entitled. I always thought Nora was way too nice to her. Very unrealistic relationship between the two of them.
I miss this show so much. I love every Walker (well, not Tommy). I'd love to see a special episode, with them older and facing the America's current issues.
Oh Balthazar. He really was the weak link in that cast but I think he knew it. Based on audio commentaries/cast interviews it sounds like he was a lovely person to have on set, which might explain why they tried so hard with his character (also he’s the great grandson of an oil baron, hello nepotism).
This should have been seen back then. I'm looking for the very first episode. Can anyone help me find it. I would be very grateful for your help. I live in Italy and I would really love to see the beginning of this amazing series. Thanks
i don't understand...i have seen this episode...i don't remember all the seasons, but a few...like justin seeing holly in the funeral, saul and tommy's fight...kitty talking with the show's producer
Hi, wanted to thank you for taking the time in replying. Unfortunately I cannot view it because it without paying. I've searched everywhere online in Italy and it's not to be found. It says 1st episose but when I go to click it, it actually says episode 23, so it's obviously an error on their side... Thanks again
The final version that they have shown on tv was way better. but there were some scenes I hoped they included like Kitty on the tv show talking 'bout his dad.
Reboot! In my opinion, the whole Rose debacle needs to be re written, it was bad, make it a nightmare and do something that is more dramatic and real. She was way to nosy to soon, her crying was fake, that was the worst segment of the series otherwise Loved the show!!!!!
The first few seasons were fantastic. Then something went wrong with the writing or something, because the content just starting going downhill. Especially with the character Justin. He was ridiculous and annoying. It's sad it was canceled.
The first four seasons were a great watch, but by the 5th and final season it had really lost its way with both the writing and the standard of filming. It would have been a better testament to the show had season 4 been the last.
Thanks to the Sydney lockdown 2021 and Covid, I am finally watching ‘Sisters and Brothers’. Most of the characters are emotionally immature, narcissistic or neurotic , but I’ve enjoyed the show. I must admit I wasn’t happy when Tommy wasn’t in it.
Yep was looking for a replacement for this show that I absolutely loved growing up and every site recommended Parenthood- just felt like a cheap rip off I couldn’t get through 3 eps.
@@falloutgirl902 I actually like parenthood but I’m bias because I started parenthood while it was still on tv I still haven’t finished brothers and sister...I like both even tho the similarities are there
15 years ago, Sally Field was at a Seattle Flower and Garden show.. She was there to give a talk on "Garden Safety"... When our group of 5 decided to see her, we had no idea that the line to get into the room was over 2 hours long.. We stood there hoping to hear a story from one of our favorite childhood stars.. Sally started, "i was chopping down a tree, it fell on my new Mercedes" then she went right into a 1.5 hour Boniva paid commercial.. So disappointed that Sally would go along with and deceive her fans to give a paid, (in person) commercial about old people drugs.. Hope they paid her millions, she just lost 5 fans. Sally can't be hurting for money. So disappointed that we didn't get to see most of the garden show because we chose to see Sally, but we could have watched that commercial on TV.. It felt like she was a sellout.. and completely ruined my loving thoughts of her forever.
Patricia Wettig did NOT fit in this show at all; making her a big part for a season or so was stupid. And the plot twist where, suddenly, Rebecca is NOT the illegitimate daughter? Whuuuut? Although hunky, hot Luke Grimes was a great illegitimate son til he turned evil. My favorite is Sarah (Rachel Griffiths). Calista is sooo annoying, as is Rob Lowe. I met them both in LA and they're even worse off camera. This was a GREAT show; too bad the cast feuds caused it to end; they had at least two seasons left. Wish they'd do a reunion, minus Patricia, and small parts for Calista and NO Rebecca. and bring back Luke.
Omg I don’t know if you want a response but since you’ve posted on my video and I rarely get to discuss the show, I’m going in. Agree about Patricia. It was very clear nepotism as she’s married to the co-creator of the show. I find her acting style SO bizarre. The way she stresses every word like it’s the first word of a sentence. Balthazar Getty did the same thing. What’s weird about Patricia is that she played one of my favourite supporting characters on Alias, and her acting was totally different there. The retcon of Rebecca not being a sibling made for a fun S2 finale, but it aged poorly. I think season 1 of B&S is an absolute masterclass in plotting, and I loved seeing her navigate the family as a newbie Walker. Was sorry to lose that and it relegated her to ‘girlfriend’ storylines like weddings and pregnancy. I saw the potential in Ryan but it felt too much like they wanted a teen heartthrob, which felt totally out of place on a show where all the real stars are in their 40s+. It was clear they didn’t know what to do with him and his disappearance felt like an admission of defeat from the writers. I personally loved Calista in the early seasons. I was a big fan of Ally McBeal and I felt like she successfully transplanted her unique blend of comedy and drama into Kitty. However, as seasons went on it became clear she wasn’t as invested and her disappearing for half of season 5 was a huge red flag. Disappointed to hear she’s annoying off camera, but not surprised. She paid her dues on Ally, and it seems she’s more focussed on her family/husband than acting these days. What did you hear about cast feuds? I read that the actors wanted to do fewer group scenes in season 5 but I thought that was just because they take so much time to film. But I was young and naive. Did they all hate each other? Was very disappointed ABC didn’t secure a shorter sixth season to wrap things up - that was reportedly the plan at the time. Kitty’s cancer was going to come back and it sounds like they were going to do a Steel Magnolias with her (poor Sally Field, not again!).
I liked Holly myself and I read the reason they deWalkered Rebecca was because Emily and Dave were dating in rea life, and their sexual chemistry came over on the screen and decide they should use it. You know, not too brotherly and sisterly. As far as Ryan, he was emotionally messed up. His mother committed suicide and then at 21 he found out his father was not his legal father but his mother's affair. That would mess someone up terribly. I found his character legit
Nepotism? Yes, they were married but they met on another great series, Thirtysomething. Yes, Patrica and Ken were actors in a hit series before he ever got into directing and writing. You do Patrica a disservice when she is a veteran of a hit series which she helped make a hit. She may not be of Sally Field's Oscar caliber, but she is still a very good actress and did much better than Calista Flockhart and Rachel Griffiths. Not that they did terrible. They were decent. Patrica was just better.
@@peachygal4153 DUH. I know they were in that monstrosity called thirtysomethibng, which was filmed at the ad agency I worked for. It IS nepotism bc Ken wrote Patricia INTO her role in Bs and Ss; HELLO! the show was horrible with that stupid storyline of holly and she should've been written out by season 2.
