This helped more than you will ever know. I couldn't get mine started and missed out on a couple of jobs because of it. After watching this I got it fired up and ready to work today.
Excellent video! You covered just about every problem you can run into with these machines. Also, the addition of the Drainzit is MUST. It not only makes oil changes a breeze, but it also supports Bob Cordes who is the inventor of this system, which is 100% American designed and made.
@@carmenreyes4669 Yes, I do, but, you need to make sure you tip the lawn mower in the direction of the where you put the oil it, and be sure to take off the spark plug boot. I usually just bring it in, because I have a guy close by who comes to your house. If you want to do it yourself though, put a sticker on the bottom side of the blade (if you are just sharpening it, so you know which way it goes back on.) If you are getting a new blade, you just take off that screw and washer and blade. I would suggest that you use your camera so you know exactly how it goes back on.
THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO!!!!! I loaded mine up to take to a shop, then I saw in your video at 1:40 the silly safety switch! Yup thats what it was! Another stupid idea by some idiot!
I hear you. Same happened to me. Now, I am having a Husqvarna Snow Blower Spark Plug issue. Why they have to make these things so difficult to get out is beyond me! You're welcome.
You forgot the seat safety switch, and the reverse lock-out switch....both of those can be bad, then you have a no start. Also, keep those safety switches cleaned and lubed with silicone spray. I'm a mechanice. Trust me.
Mine is still going strong. I have noticed the same mower with different branding. Not the best mower, but the only rider that fits through our chain link fence.
@@programmingchicago, that's why I bought the Craftsman R1000, it fit through the chain link gate. Truthfully, it's been a terrible mower, just issue after issue. Now sears is out of business. I mean the belts, battery, charging system, safety switches, to bad steering. I've had it for 6 years and it still looks new for the most part. I just can't keep it running.

Awesome. Glad it helped you!
Thanks for the video. Been scratching my head for weeks thinking there must be a safety switch I was missing… that was the one!
You're welcome. Same thing happened to me!
You just made my day. Hell, you made my mowing SEASON this year! Finally somebody shows me where the air filter is! Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome. There are two types of filters, so if yours doesn't look like this one, it's still o.k.
Thank you!!! No one ever even mentioned or showed how to get to the air filter. MUCH THANKS!!!
Very well covered all the things that will make you crazy. Well done.
Thank you! I knew it was a safety switch, I just forgot where. Especially thank you for making this video so simple.

@@programmingchicago Do you know how to change the blade?

Good points. Thanks
THE BLADE STOP INGAGGING ?
You might want to check your belt. It could be loose or came off.
Make sure it’s in neutral or forward. Not reverse.
Mine has a fuse

I never take lawn mowing advice/tips from people who don't trim.
dumbell fix the governor
This mower is also a Craftsman R1000, it's a piece of JUNK!!!
