PEI North Rustico

This was filmed on a beautiful calm July evening in North Rustico, Prince Edward Island, Canada. The deep sea fishing boats were just returning for the day at sunset. There's also footage of the rotating house located here as well. You're unable to see it move from the drone footage but it does turn ever so slowly on it's foundation. I'm originally from Rustico. Imagine my surprise when I read the music is "Halliday's Wedding". I didn't realize there was a tune with the Halliday name in it.

Thanks Melissa, my friend Warren toured in a group all over North America called Pogey. He wrote the song...one of the guys in the touring crew had the last name Halliday. Not a common name, so for me to just choose it for this piece was purely coincidental! 😁

I lived there for a while. Very strange place, almost like a Disney version of what PEI used to be. Many of the homes are vacant, being holiday homes, and there is a metric ton of restaurants, 99% of which close at the end of tourist season. Not the friendliest people when they know you “Come from away” unless you’re just passing through as a tourist with a bulging wallet. Having said this, the tourists were absolutely awful, treating everyone like crap. Wouldn’t return if my life depended on it.
