yey the out of order missing episode is back with us, rememper to put them in order on the playlist so anyone who is late to the show has absolutely no idea what this comment is about
One thing I want to point out is Senku likes being around people, especially friends. He started his science experiments alone, but as soon as Taiju crossed his path, helping with the bullies, he was always there with Senku, with Yuzuriha joining later on. Even if they couldn't follow what Senku was saying (especially Tauju, still best boy), they were there having fun with him. Now he has Chrome and all of the others to have science fun with as well. Even after everything Tsukasa did, Senku sees him as a friend, and he doesn't want to lose him. Senku has said himself that he's not the kind of guy to go out of his way to show affection, but it was him caring about Yuzuriha that allowed Tsukasa to have an edge over him at the hot springs. One way to look at is that Senku spent 6 months all alone after coming out of his petrification. No one to talk to, no one to bounce ideas and theories of off, trying to find out how to bring others back, especially his best friend. Add on the 3700 years of counting he did to the mix, and it's very likely that he's had enough alone time in his life. Also, he wants to save everyone, especially his friend. He knows "what" to do, just not "how" to do it. As such, time to find out how to do it. Onward to the New World!
22:33 he did die, that’s kind of how Cryo works. It shuts down the body to the point of zero activity (basically death) no growth, no decay, and at the end, and then you revitalize the body as it rapidly thaws. Cryo kills and freezes your body, and then revives you when it’s done. We can do the freezing parts, but we’ve never been able to do the revitalization part at the end, so Cryo just kills the target. Senku is betting the petrify beam will target a corpse, because it’s still human, and with the body so well preserved, the regeneration effect of unpetrifying will be enough to jumpstart him back to life.
Problem is, revival is impossible with cryonic freezing. Human bodies are made of mostly water and when it reaches certain freezing temperature, it expands. In process, all tissues break down. Unfreezing such body just gives corpse. Unfortunately, most people who froze themselves in 20th centuries were not very aware of that. There is no technology to make actual cryogenic freezing that won't destroy body yet.
Death is actually hard to define nowadays. The typical criterion is whether or not the heart has stopped, which means that even though we don't think of it that way, modern medicine has already succeeded in reviving the dead. We just intuitively keep pushing the meaning of "dead" a little past what medicine is able to achieve every time we catch up. We just don't realise it, because we think of death as permanent. So naturally, anything you can recover from can never be "death". That means if Senku can revive Tsukasa, there's a sense in which Tsukasa never truly died. The point of cryopreserving his body isn't to keep any kind of vital processes going. They've all stopped by this point. It's not even to keep the cells alive. They've died, too. The point is to keep the information that makes Tsukasa who he is intact. His body is an instruction manual for the petrification agent. It's not clear exactly what its limits are, but if it's as powerful as Senku suspects (and he does have reason to suspect it, especially after Mirai was revived), all they need to do is prevent Tsukasa's body from decomposing. So whether or not Tsukasa actually "died" before he was frozen doesn't really matter for Senku's goal. In a way, the modern practice of cryopreservation is pretty similar in nature. Not in terms of the method, which is actually very different. But the goal is the same. We preserve what we can, so that hopefully in the future, that information will be enough to revive someone with. Iirc the method is actually to replace the blood with antifreeze immediately after death. If you freeze a cell, it's going to die because water expands when it freezes. Antifreeze, as per the name, will stay liquid, so cooling the body won't kill the cells. This hits the pause button on the body's metabolic functions before its death can destroy the vital parts responsible for those functions. After that, the body is stored indefinitely in this zero-metabolism state. There's a good chance we'll never have the technology to revive them, but we can't predict what we'll be capable of in the future. It's a gamble, and since dying permanently is the alternative, there's not a whole lot to lose.
3:20 that guy is the mangaka's self insert. Can we talk how much Kohaku is in love with Senku? Not just mindlessly shipping, just saying even if she is no simp if she HAD to choose someone... 23:26 he frist fell sleep from the cold, then "died" freezed. Its the cold that killed him.
Remember the flashback, Tsukasa would have loved if he had met Senku, Taiju and Yuzuriha in the past. He imagined being part of their friend group, protecting them, playing with them, supporting Senku in his endeavors and having someone to rely on with his sister. He imagined how he could have been a better person if he was with them.
There is an old saying "you are not dead until you are warm and dead"..... They are pinning a lot of hope on the restorative properties of the petrification reversal superscience. .... Which they now have to go capture.
To clarify, tsukasa did die. They're freezing him to preserve his body and prevent him from decomposing. As we saw with mirai, the depetrification reaction can revive someone who's completely brain dead, literally raising the dead. So long as the body is intact, dead cells can be revived. So unlike with real cryo preservation, freezing tsukasa is 100% feasible because the depetrification reaction will heal any damage caused by the freezing process and restore all his cells, including his neurons, back to life and peak condition
Tsukasa is dead but if they manage to petrify and revive him it should work since senku actually died too and revived throught petrification I don't think senku just pretend to be dead

welp, so much for being in order
That moment with Senku and Tsukasa is so well made, my heart is torn a little bit every time, even as a manga reader.

@@rainbowprism6242 hence until we develop actual regenerative technology, it not possible… maybe like the regeneration effect from depetrification.

Hearing all of Gen's pig Latin is so funny I forgot how often he speaks like that

That guy? You don't know that guy? That guy is you. He says all women are beautiful. He is totally of the opinion that all women are beautiful.

I'm really enjoy your reaction watching dr.stone!!! I'm subscribe for sureee!!! Its hard to find any youtuber reaction watching this anime!!!
and this is why you need to start venturing into the world of manga.
Oh Captain my Captain! xD
Petrifying animals to preserve them could also be a way to prevent extinction of the species
Was this supposed to be uploaded before the ryusui reaction?
@@MifuneTakumi45 100% before.

I knew last episode of Stone Wars was missing before Ryusui special.
So it's the wrong order?
@@pratham_pai
He uploaded Ryusui before Stone Wars episode 11 and that was out of order. But its good because 2 episodes were uploaded in same day.
The source of the beam is the one piece
27:18 but... but where is Bob? I thought this is Bob :(
Oh nvm i just watched a little further
If you want to watch One Piece, watch the LIve Action version.
8 episodes covering about 100/1100 chapters and 50/1086 anime episodes.
dr stone wil probably finish airing before one piece does
I was wondering what was going on
Dude, could you please order them correctly in the playlist?
Tsukasa ;-;
Rip
