Seasonal Flower Diary Oct.2024

The autumn leaves tended to be delayed due to the many warm days in October. Flowers are changing, but there are still some that have been blooming since summer. It seems that we cannot escape from global warming.
Many of the autumn roses seem to have fewer flowers. I think they bloom about two weeks later than usual.
If you go out to the suburbs for a while, you can see Nokongiku and Yomena blooming by the roadside. Miscanthus sinensis and other species such as kirinso are also growing. As the days get darker and the nights get longer, autumn flowers and grasses become more vigorous.
