I love the Spartan cabs! Such a good clean look. Odd to not have a rear bumper. It's a sacrificial part for when it eventually backs into something. Love the thought built into the truck though!
A customer of mine in NJ was remarking how many FD's out there are being duped buy the larger OEMs who are selling end suction pumps in a midship location. And I have several examples around us with unhappy operators who simply asked for a wateorus or hale 1500gpm and ended up with an end suction pump that won't draft, stay primed, and is extremely noisy. So I figured I'd expand on that issue.
Hope they don’t have to put that ladder rack down on a narrow street . Plus without a rear step , how do u get that hard suction out of the rear compartment without lowering the ladder rack ? Seems like a poor design IMHO. I’ve never seen a walk around video where the host spends so much time explaining how easy they’ve made it to fix the pump when it breaks 🤦🏻♂️
Hey BigDuke are you even on a fire department? Go to 8:38 to see the hose compartment in the body right above the rear intake. And why don't you talk to a mechanic about valve kit replacements, foam system services, and basic inspection. Dang! BigDuke is a moron and i totally took the bait.
Mr Big Dook You can see the hard suction hose access at 8:38 and you apparently have never rebuilt a valve or serviced a foam system or a pump heater. Happy Trolling
The department really thought this unit out! Flat back of the unit and ladder to the hose bed, that really impressed me!!!
The man knows his fire pumps. Nice presentation.

Interesting pump selection editorial.
