    The cruise planner is my friend. Read the sample menu and booked 3 meal package. Ship only has Chops but plan to do lunch on a sea day. Can't pass up the MDR on every night.

    Newer subscriber. Can I just say that you two are the cutest cruise vloggers ever! You explain things so well and break things down so new cruisers can understand. I just wish you guys could do this for Disney. My mind hurts trying to plan Disney vacations. I'm trying out cruising to see if I actually have a relaxing time on my vacation instead of feeling like it's the first day of high school and i have to find ten new classrooms in the three minutes they give you to change.

      It definitely can be confusing. And if your planning & spending lots of $$$$....nobody wants any issues or problems when they get onboard.

      For Disney, try TH-cam --
      D & G Explorers. The do Disney parks and cruise ships.

    We just got back from our RCI Enchantment of the Sea cruise. It was a much smaller ship and it only had 1 Specialty restaurant, Chops Grill. We pre booked it at home and let me tell you it was AAAAAAMAAAAAZZZZZIIIINNNGGGG!!!!! The food was out of this world! The main dining room was lovely and the food was delicious. However, we went to the buffet 1 time and it was pure chaos with the amount of people that were there. The food was ok but after that we decided to just eat in the main dining room after that experience. It was a little much for me just because it was packed and there was no order to anything. Other than that I loved every moment of it. It was definitely worth spending the extra flat rate fee to eat at Chops Grill. I highly recommend it!

    • @Cruisingwithwheels
      @Cruisingwithwheels  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Awesome to hear !! Glad you had a great time. The buffets can be a bit like a Mad Max movie !!

      @@Cruisingwithwheels lmao!!! it really was!!! And honestly the breakfast food at the buffet was the exact same thing as the main dining room and room service. So for us it was just much nicer, more quiet, and worth it to go to the main dining room. It was actually much calmer anf laid back. We met some amazing people there in the main dining room while having breakfast. One other couple we met actually live 2 roads away from us and our oldest boys go to the same school! small world!

    Good afternoon guys! I came across your channel a few weeks ago and became hooked. I subscribed to all your social media and began binge watching all your shows. Love Frank's "Tales from the high Sea's." You guys give great and informative knowledge on so many things. It is very helpful even for an experienced cruiser like me and my GF. We have not been on on Royal Caribbean yet, however we have been thinking about doing a cruise with them next year. Now that NCL is out. This is great info. I look forward to watching your future episodes and maybe running into you guys on a cruise.

      @@Cruisingwithwheels I definitely will! We haven't booked anything yet. However we just did the MSC Seaside about 5 weeks ago. It looks like they have have fixed most of their issues. However their customer service with most, but not all of their staff still needs a lot of work. The food was good, the freshly made pasta and pizza was very good. Beautiful ship with room to get better. If you would like any other info, I will gladly share it.

    Thank you SO much, gentlemen!! SO glad I found you! Doing a cruise to Canada/NE solo next year, and was torn on whether I wanted to do any specialty dining, but I think, based on this, I just might do the 3 meal package, to try Chops and the Brazilian Steakhouse (LOVE beef, don't eat it much at home, so this will be a treat, for sure!!), and maybe Jamie's since It's really good, and appeals to my taste rather than some of the others. Anything else you ever do on RCL will be MUCH appreciated by me, as well as (of course) following all you do mobility-wise, since this will be my first cruise renting a scooter onbard. Thank you both, and big hugs!!

    Hi, you two are amazing! Just booked my first cruise (father and son before he leaves for the military). I’ve taken care of the excursions, the internet, and drinks. I have my eye on the “Chops Grille + 1” package. My question; once you pay for the package, that purchase price covers the entire meal, correct? Basically a “flat fee” as you mentioned? Nothing more to pay when on the ship, for that meal (other than tip). Thank you so much, I’ve been watching a ton of your videos, very helpful!

    • @Cruisingwithwheels
      @Cruisingwithwheels  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes...you get 1 appetizer, 1 entree and 1 dessert. When you bought the package, they also included the restaurant gratuity. With that package..you will get a 40 % discount on bottles of wine under $100 & 20 % discount on bottles of wine over $100, while you are there for THAT dinner. See terms & conditions for that package.

    Question........So what does the package cover at the specialty restaurant? Do you get an appetizer, entree, and dessert? Also, if you get a dining package do you have to make your reservations before you sail? I usually like to make reservations before we sail, but you never know!

    • @Cruisingwithwheels
      @Cruisingwithwheels  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Every cruise line is different when it comes to " what you get ". Generally, it is an appetizer...sometimes soup/salad, then an entree'....then dessert. You can make reservations from home (like we do)....or wait till you board.

  • @NickScalan
    @NickScalan 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Great video gentlemen.
    Just one thing. You didn't cover what comes in a "meal" at a specialty dining restaurant. Is it a 3-course? appetizer, entree and dessert? Does it vary by restaurant?

    • @Cruisingwithwheels
      @Cruisingwithwheels  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It varies....appetizer, soup/salad (maybe), entree', dessert. depends on venue.

    At all these "Specialty Restaurants" is it all you can eat? Maybe I want an extra app, entree, or dessert.

    • @Cruisingwithwheels
      @Cruisingwithwheels  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No....you are allowed 1- appetizer....1 - soup/salad......1 - entree....1 dessert, as part of your dining package. Anything above that....you will pay extra for.
