Sun's Path through months of 2018

  • This is the second simulation script written in Stellarium to trace sun's path through the year. Curious to validate the theories of Equinoxes & Solstices, decided to write a simulation script to trace the path of sun through the day sky from it's rise to set for all the 12 months. It's amazing to see how perfect the universe is. Hope you enjoy the video!

and its not even real cuz if you once have sun only for like 1-2hours in winter, it automatically means xou have it 22-23 hours in summer so basically no dark cuz when it sets its still at least kinda light+ if you dont understand, just look at the green tree on right and look at temperatures in new york in winter, they are usually under 0

Can I ask something? On Equinox, sun rises and sets at the exact east and west points. But I thought sun always rises from the east and sets at west, hence east and west. Why are east and west defined points in this simulation, instead of just being "directions", imaginary points on the endless horizon? I can never wrap my head around this, thanks alot

Stationary earth? Lmao to make it clear, it’s not the sun that’s actually moving across the sky, you should have learned that in at least 3rd grade. Perceiving something occurring doesn’t mean your conclusion is accurate. You may PERCEIVE the Sun and Moon crossing the sky, but don’t be fooled, the main movement comes from the Earths rotation as we, perceiving beings standing on the surface of a ROUND object, can only
Interpret that movement as the objects moving. That is not the reality, and we have known this simple true fact the Sun and Moon do not move over us throughout a day, we rotate.

I've been thinking about a world wide time and date standard, and I want to figure out what would be a neutral starting point for the Sun to mark the first moment of this hypothetical new system, and I can't seem to find the answer anywhere... Also I'm not that knowledgeable on geography or geometry, so I have no idea how one would figure that out with an equation if such a thing were possible, or even where to start the process of figuring it out. I'm very curious as to if the sun follows a consistent path across our sky over a period of time (or rather, does our planet rotate consistently?), such that it could be used to mark said time period.

The earth is still. The sun moves as if it were a strong man running a race on his circuit...we do not spin around the sun, and this confirms Gods word.
    Psalm 19
4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

The earth is not flat. If you were at the equator the Sun follows a path that goes straight up then over and sets straight down. If your in the northern hemisphere looking south or Southern hemisphere looking north you will see the sun traveling at an angled arch. The sun sets at an angle towards the south in the southern hemisphere and sets at an angle towards the north in the northern hemisphere.
