Dear Sudeesh, Thanks for showing the Rehearsal of Dasara Elephants. All 12 Elephants were nice to see. Thanks for showing special training of Dhananjaya Elephant in lead role , as Arjuna has reached 60 years and it may be last year for him to carry the Ambaari as per Supreme court orders.

Elephants should not be captured and enslaved for life. They have highly evolved ,complex emotional lives. The ones in captivity should mall be sent to sanctuaries and unchained. The should be allowed to spend the rest of their lives in comfort. Dasara festival is marred by the presence of elephants in chains. Poor animals , are tortured for visual pleasure of humans with no compassion.

Riding an elephant & putting load on it's back damages its spine. Elephants should not be tortured under the guise of training. All mahouts & animal trainers should be retired with pension. All captive elephants should be sent to a sanctuary to become herds of 30 elephants consisting of male , female and calves . Then each herd should be released in elephant corridors in the Karnata side of the Nilagiri Biosphere Reserve to lead a free happy life & preserve elephant corridors & prevent mud sliding & floods and safeguard us.
