Those who are getting error even after creating Layer.
I was using Python 3.10 and getting the same error, So I changed it to Python 3.7
Go to
Runtime Setting > Edit > Runtime > Python 3.7
It's working.

I changed python version on runtime as well but tgere is no 3.7 version available anymore on AWS. There are 3.8 to 3.12 verions available and none of them is working. What should i do, i really spent my whole day resolving this issue but still nothing helped me out.

Those who are facing error : Runtime.ImportModuleError: Unable to import module 'lambda_function': No module named 'requests'
it seems like now you need to use pip install requests "urllib3
