I had a surgery with Dr Lonner almost 10 years ago, patellofemoral replacement. After looking for a number of doctors, he said he could help me. I've been dancing lindy hop, running, hiking and having an active life. I typically don't think about my knee. It has been great! Before the surgery I was able to walk for about 10 min without pain and then it was bad.

I'm almost 70 and will most likely be a candidate for TKR sometime in the future. My Oral surgeon just had his done 2 years ago and highly recommended the Conformis iTotal knee implant procedure only. He did a lot of research and I value his opinion highly. His knee turned out almost exactly like his natural knee, with a full range of motion and he is still an avid skier also. I have pretty much decided to go with the iTotal implant at this time. My question is can the Comformis iTotal implant be done with the use of a robot or would I have a better outcome without the robot and a highly skilled surgeon? By the way, the arthritis I have now was the result of an automobile accident I had when I was 17 and left my right kneecap partially shattered. Dr. DePalma did an unusual procedure at Jefferson Hospital and saved my knee and I've had full function ever since for 53 years so far, and still going strong.

I’m 53 and VERY active. Heading for TKR in an outpatient surgical center. Also PRE physical therapy is key!
