      GnaReffotsirk right. I feel bad when I sin. I even do things differently and feel weird about certain things I see in life. The only sin I need to take serious gluttony. I feel so bad because that is just as much a sin as anything else. And I don’t want to trample my feet on God

      Truly, I didn't know that would happen as a new Christian. I loved weed, I was a STONER I mean every day all the time I just loved it sooo much. Well the closer I got to God I started to get convicted on it, and there will be days when I think hey a little wont hurt I'll go & try to smoke a little and the WORST feeling comes upon me. I MEAN PURE AGONY, so anxious, so paranoid, my heart starts racing. I've never felt like that with weed in my life ever before.

    No. Just because we are saved by grace doesn’t give us a license to sin. True repentance involves the changing of the mind, so that we understand the severity of sin. That is how Jesus saves, by helping us realizing how our old ways were dangerous and an unhealthy lifestyle. A true Christian would do his or her best to not sin, even if it’s inevitable. Also, I don’t want to talk like a hypocrite. I’ve definitely sinned before, we have all sin and it’s inevitable that we’re going to sin, whether intentional or not. We’re not perfect, but Jesus can show us how to be more like him.

      As Christians, we should hate sin and strive to not sin. However, even if and when we do sin on purpose, we know we are saved. You can't judge that a Christian isn't "true" if they are still in sin. Nobody can live up to God's standard of perfection, so He sent Jesus to die for us and impute His righteousness upon us! So now, when God looks at us, he doesn't see our filth, he sees Jesus! Amen!

      @@therandomd2717 Are you asking with a sincere desire of seeking truth & understanding about smoking?
      Perhaps the better question is how would God want me to treat my body, especially in light of His love for me and Jesus' sacrifice for me? Is smoking an encumbrance or yoke in my life? Is this activity bringing honor and glory to God? Why does it adversely affect every part of my body, whether I notice the symptoms or not? How does this effect my quality of life? What is the likelihood of addiction or dependency? Is smoking taking time, energy and attention from things God wants me to focus on and do (can God use me more effectively?) He does care about our earthly bodies and they are not ours to do whatever we wish. I smoked for over 20 years and I'm so thankful that God delivered me from that yoke. I am a living breathing testimony and however strong the bond, God can break it with His Ultimate Power.
      Check out these Scriptures (and look for others) and pray that God speaks to your heart so you may have clear direction as He sees fit.
      1 Corinthians 6:19-20
      19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
      1 Corinthians 6:12
      "I have the right to do anything," you say--but not everything is beneficial. "I have the right to do anything"--but I will not be mastered by anything.
      HEBREWS 12:1
      Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off every encumbrance and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with endurance the race set out for us.

    Jesus had to suffer a horrendous death to pay for all of our sins. so why would we even want to continue in sin when we are granted repentance and faith and grace to be able to stop? Sin is the reason why Jesus was sent into this evil world to be slain. A true Christian feels guilty when he or she sins. A true Christian battles with sin and is at war with sin every day of their lives.

He doesn't hide his sins or make excuses..God sees and knows anyway. A born-again believer hates sin as God does. Faith without works is dead. You can tell a christian from a lukewarm christian by their fruit. We are saved by grace but we as believers are suppose to be the salt & light of the world. We are renewed and no longer should be living in sin. Plus many people forget about the rewards in Heaven based of how you lived your life.

    • @HenT8991
      @HenT8991 6 ปีที่แล้ว +48

      Yep a believed is saved by Grace!!!
      Faith without Works is dead, but that doesn't mean we're dead and frankly it doesnt matter if you have a faith that's dead or alive to be saved but that faith must be pointed at Jesus Christ!
      In Revelation lukewarm was directed at a Church and Jesus was warning that Church that they could lose their witness (candle) if they don't repent. It was never meant for a single individual in context.
      "You shall know them by their fruits" Yes Jesus was right when he was talking about false prophets (them) and their words and teaching (fruit).
      "no longer be living in sin" a believer is no longer defined BY their sin. Sin is transgression of the law. A believer has died to the law and is alive unto Christ. A believer is under Grace and is no longer under condemnation because Jesus has already paid for all of our sins on the cross. We still sin because we still have on this dead flesh.
      We must remember and constantly be reminded that it is by Grace through faith alone that gets us Eternal Life. Works never factor into the equation. Works have their place for rewards but we must make sure our foundation to keep us from falling is not our works, but Jesus Christ.

    I grew up under the mantra, "Faith Without Works is Dead". This lead to inevitable failures that lead to guilt and a feeling of unworthiness in the midst of those who were worthy (or so I thought).
    Now I understand Grace and know we are ALL unworthy. Now when I fall short I know that I am not condemned and I go to the Lord in repentance and continue striving. My relationship with God is so much more than it ever has been. When we live under legalistic teachings we will ALWAYS fail and undoubtedly fall into the curse!!! Replace my heart of stone. Here’s my opinion:
    Sin is sin, whether we commit it knowingly or unknowingly. To me, God knows the conviction of our hearts, therefore, He knows when I willfully sin and He knows the sin or sins we individually struggle with.
    All of us are sinful by nature, but we can strive to lead a more Godly life. In doing so, we will stumble. If you plan to sin, that’s not stumbling because planning requires forethought and before we sin, God builds in detours, that we can choose to use or move straight ahead into sin.
    Again, God the Father, who is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent knows your heart, so for anyone choosing to sin over, it seems to be a dangerous game to play with your salvation. 🙂

    Yes you can live in sin. The blood does cover past present and future sins. Christians can fall but no one can snatch them out of God's hands. He who worketh not but believeth on him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness. You can quench the Holy Spirit. It won't talk to you while you override your conscience over and over but it will never leave you. At some point God will leave you to a reprobate mind but he will never leave you. Look at Solomon or Samson. Maybe you'll end up in prison or God will terminate you very quickly. Ananias and Saphira knew the Holy Spirit and they did lie to him but I guarantee you they are in Heaven. The guy who was sleeping with his father's wife, he got put out by the church so that Satan can destroy his body but he was saved. You can live in sin. The law does not save anyone. Only thing the law can do is condemn. We are under grace, we can sin all we want but God is not mocked. We will reap what we sow in this life. Don't let anyone tell you have to maintain salvation yourself. That's you saving yourself. That's works. No one is justified by works. No one can boast. You can only trust in the blood of Jesus. That's it. You can live in sin but you won't live very long on Earth doing so if you are God's child. He will get you to stop sinning even if he has to terminate you early and you will be in the presence of Jesus with a big shameful look on your face. I guarantee you it will hurt like hell looking at your savior that day because he loves you so much and you destroyed your testimony.

    In short the answer is YES! I have heard this argued a million times and this topic actually separates christians. The blood covering of Christ is bigger than your ability to rebel . First I wanna say though Al if your gonna teach it would help if you didn't use a paraphrased bible because my friend they dont all say the same thing. Roms 8 vs 1 There is no such thing as a carnal christian ! How can you be a saint and carnal at the same time?? YOU CANT ! Paul isn't calling them carnal " christians" he is telling them they are acting carnal and to put it away, the church has adapted this erroneous teaching that when we sin we have become another being that we can walk in and out of all day long, We are going to sin till the day we die no matter how close to the Lord you are and that does not make you carnal because if it did it would only take one sin no matter how minor it is and we would all be carnal then. If you are truly born again your desire will be to please the Lord but my friends the flesh is weak and hence Paul " O wretched man that I am "I know I am a christian no matter what I do and I have to say every sin I have done is deliberate and rebellious( no not the unpardonable sin) and you know when you are not doing his will because the Holy Spirit is quenched as your obedience to God becomes less but it does not mean at any moment you cant say I have had enough of this crap and I need to put this aside and walk in the spirit and is why this topic is actually removed from most bibles, Romans 8 vs 1 KJV and then look up most other bibles they say 2 complete things, the whole reason why Paul quotes "are we to sin that grace may abound?" is because he knows you have the freedom to do so but knowing the reprocussions of it will follow as well, when you walk in rebellion long enough knowing you are saved it will take a toll on you hopefully knowing how foolish you have allowed yourself to be by ripping yourself off of Gods initial blessings, for starters get a REAL BIBLE that is word for word and let the Holy Spirit do its work and not some other mans paraphrasing of what they think God has said.

    Ok so the faith without works is referencing the work the holy spirit does in and through a believer. You will know them by their fruits isnt simply just surface fruits. Its talking about believers who even though they struggle, their life produces fruits in its wake. While we arent perfect Jesus works through our imperfections.
    These debates on can a Christian sin are straight from satan.
    No where in the Bible does it say Christian's stop sinning at the moment of salvation. While I agree the Lord draws us from our old lifestyle of sin, we will not be perfected until we are called up by the Lord.
    We seem to think of spiritual fruits as a physical fruit that's just kind of hanging off a Christian's ear. Spiritual fruits are direct evidence of Faith. Even our faith is of the Lord and not of ourselves. If someone has faith in Jesus that is a fruit of the Spirit.
    It's time believers realize 2 things.
    It's not your job to decide the intent of another person's heart, so long as they have active faith pray and support them to grow.
    Not everyone has had a easy life. Some carry real pain from real experiences that you can never understand. Rape victims, surviving victims of murders, etc. Your judgements insist the way you view them is more important than the developing relation and healing Christ Jesus actually intends.
    It's as though some believers actually insist faith doesnt actually heal and redeem a person. They are focused on works of their hands. Our works are an attempt to cover our sinful shame. Just as Adam and eve tried covering their shame in the garden.
    My salvation is provided by Jesus, not judgemental pharisees who claim they trust in the blood of the lamb but really rely on their own works.

    Seems from the numerous comments I've read, the main argument (at times nasty and a lot of disrespect and name-calling) seems to be about salvation/saved status itself versus transformation/change/new lifestyles and attitudes being brought about as a result of said salvation.
    I truly believe that Jesus' work is what saved me and any change as a consequence of that is a beautiful gift brought about by the work of the Power and Authority granted to Him and of the Holy Spirit. Even my submission and surrender and repentance is caused by Him - I call it Heart Change and New Life.
    Anywho, Can we please have our words seasoned with Grace and speak to one another with deep respect. If we find ourselves disagreeing to the point where we resort to name calling and degrading, it is wise to digress and day nothing at all. To walk away is not weakness, but a STRENGTH. Some would say a clear demonstration of self-control and discipline. Just try it. Love you!

A true believer, indwelt with the Holy Spirit, will NOT have that mindset at all. Yes OSAS is completely true, IF JESUS saves us. OSAS is NOT true if the person saves themselves.

    NO WAY, as many Christians and pastors disagree with the doctrine Once saved is always saved because 1st, it rejected most of the Character of God. 2nd, It rejected most words of Jesus. 3rd, it disqualifies the work of the Holy Spirit to the believers.
    These are the words of Jesus clearly stated that once save is always save is against His teachings and I would like to emphasize the complete words of Jesus so that it will make my point as clear as Jesus’s words. He said in Mathew 7:19 "Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire." It is very clear here that even though you are Cristian but you chose to continue sinning and not following the commandment you will be cut down. Same as Jesus said (in revelation) in the book of life that He can blot out those who are rebellious against Him. Like in the story of the prodigal son that even the son is with the father if the son chooses to disobey he can still go because of choice. Jesus also said In Mathew 7:23, “And then I will declare to them, “I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness". That's why it is impossible that once saved is always saved because God Himself has said it that even a believer will be denied.
    Also in Mathew 7:21, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter." Jesus also said clearly here that, "Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand (Mathew 7:24). Clearly, Jesus said that a true follower must act not only believe (Believe means with obedience) that he is saved otherwise he will be cut off or be judge.
    For me sir, the best way is I rather believe in words of sinless Jesus rather than a corrupted doctrine of sinful men saying once saved is always saved. That is not what Jesus teaching and not God's words and character because it is compromising doctrine. In Mat 13:41-42 Jesus said again clearly, "The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness, and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Mathew 13:41-42).
    This is a Warning for those who spreading false doctrine from satan. Why? because Jesus again said this words “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet cast into the sea and gathering fish of every kind; and when it was filled, they drew it up on the beach; and they sat down and gathered the good fish into containers, but the bad they threw away into the fiery furnace in a place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth (Mathew 13:47-50). It is clear sir that NOT ALL saying LORD LORD will be saved. For me, the evil false doctrine should be cast out from inside the compromising church before it will burn all who believe in that kind of doctrine.

      @@TheBibleSays you’re quoting all those verses out of context. Hebrews and Luke are written specifically for Jews. We can apply some verses from those books to us today, but not all of them. 1 Corinthians 9 has the context of obtaining spiritual rewards in heaven, it’s not keeping salvation. “If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire” 1 Corinthians 3:15. That verse clearly explains how us as believers should serve God with our lives, but we’re not saved by it. We have to understand salvation is not of ourselves (Ephesians 2:8-9) and that the moment we believe in Christ’s sacrifice, we have all our trespasses forgiven (Colossians 2:13). No one can earn heaven, not even the Jews under the Old Testament Law could. They couldn’t fulfill it, but Christ Himself did with his sacrifice on the cross. Heaven requires complete perfection, only his blood accomplishes that for us

      @@nba2kmadness162 "Out of context" is the blanket accusation often made by those who desire to challenge the plain meaning and message of a verse.
      ==============================
      Hebrews was written to believers, as can be seen from Hebrews 3:1 (also 12:1,2; 12:22-24 and 13:20,21). Yes, some had been Jews, but they were now believers. And the verses apply to believers:
      ⚫ "Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and *High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus" (Hebrews 3:1)
      ==============================
      You wrote *_"1 Corinthians 9 has the context of obtaining spiritual rewards in heaven, it’s not keeping salvation. "_*
      Answer: that's what you want the verse to mean. But the verse says nothing about "rewards in heaven." Paul wrote that he could return to a life of sin and therefore be rejected . . . a "castaway." That means not saved.
      ===============================
      Eph 2:8 Salvation is by grace, *"through"* faith . . . not just because you *have* faith. *Through faith* that God exists and rewards we can see that we have a choice - and a decision - to make: to "come to God" on His terms, or, to walk away. Without trust that God exists and rewards we would never see the need to come to God:
      ⚫ "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." (Hebrews 11:6)
      Coming to God on His terms is what pleases Him . . . not "faith alone." God's "terms" is that we repent: confess and forskake sin. For *that* we'll enter His promised mercy and grace. And aour past sins will be blotted out. And we'll receive the gift of the holy spirit, to help lead us out of slavery to sin . . . because we are willing to leave sin:
      ⚫ "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent" (Acts 17:30)
      ⚫ "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy." (Proverbs 28:13)
      ⚫ "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him . . . " (Isaiah 55:7)
      ⚫ "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord" (Acts 3:19, NKJV).
      ⚫ "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:38)
      ⚫ "And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him." (Acts 5:32)
      ======================================
      You wrote *_"the moment we believe in Christ’s sacrifice, we have all our trespasses forgiven"_*
      Wrong! We must come to repentance - confessing and forsaking sin - to be forgiven and to have our past sins blotted out. Note the IF:
      ⚫ "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).:
      ⚫ "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord" (Acts 3:19, NKJV).
      Did Jesus tell His disciples to preach "believe in Christ’s sacrifice"? No. He told them to preach *"repentance and remission of sins":*
      ⚫ "Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
      And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
      And that *repentance and remission of sins* should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." (Luke 24:45-47)
      ===============================================
      re: Col 2:13 When we come to repentance, all our *past* sins are forgiven. We have "remission of sins that are past" (Romans 3:25). We have been "purged" of our "old sins" (2 Peter 1:9).
      As long as we remain in repentance He continues to cover our new sins:
      ⚫ "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." (1 John 1:7)
      If we revert to un-repentance - willful sin - His blood is no longer available to cover our new sins:
      ⚫ "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
      But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries." (Hebrews 10:26,27)
      ===================================================
      Right, we can't *earn* God's mercy and grace. They are *promised* to us if we'll follow His instructions. We'll merit His mercy and grace if we'll obey. The gift of eternal life is free, and God decides who He'll give that gift to.
      ===================================================

      @@TheBibleSays how is willful sin any different from “regular” sin? Sin is sin, and sin deserves eternal hellfire. As I mentioned, Colossians 2:13 PROVES he died for ALL of our sins... past present and future. You also said “we can’t earn Gods grace”, but then turned around and say “but to keep it we have to obey”. That makes no sense. We can’t keep it, because we aren’t sinless! Heaven is for the sinless, and that’s the whole point of what I’m saying. Are you sinless? We cannot EARN heaven, only Jesus’ blood gets us there. Saying your works overrides what Christ did on the cross is BLASPHEMY. Ephesians 2:8-9 not only says salvation is a GIFT and unearned, but it’s not of OURSELVES (meaning anything we do). Nothing we do can please Him, our righteousness is as filthy rags as Isaiah said. How could repentence get us heaven? Salvation, again, is not anything of OURSELVES. Plus, Hebrews 10:26 seems to suggest that once we lose salvation, we can never get it back. How is that possible? Only if that book is talking to JEWS in the tribulation period if they accept the mark of the beast. It’s not for the church today. And one last thing, please explain this... “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your SALVATION; in whom also after that ye BELIEVED (not worked for or repented) ye were SEALED with that Holy Spirit of promise” (Ephesians 1:13). The holy spirit is sealed inside of us forever, and it’s within the context of salvation. If the Holy Spirit could leave us after we received the truth, God would be a liar. And He’s not. You cannot quote one verse with its proper context within Paul’s epistles for the church that says you can lose salvation. It’s the books written for us TODAY in the church age. We must understand that God dealt with different people in different time periods in different ways, called dispensations. We are in the dispensation of grace, or the church age. Romans to Philemon are the books written to us as our doctrine for today. Pulling verses out of Hebrews and 1 John, Mark etc does not directly apply to believers today. Understanding that is essential

For now this body will lead us astray that’s why God understands that we will disappoint Him time and time again. Which is why by grace, once saved always saved. I know why believers do it.
    It’s because they aren’t trusting God to fill their needs.
    My child ran to sin because of a very emotionally painful marriage.
    Instead of doing the work of staying in prayer, and in the word etc they chose to find their own solutions because they felt like God didn’t care.

    "Can I Sin as Much as I Want to and Still Be a Christian?"
    YES you can! But NOT without consequences...(Also remember that a true Christian can NEVER be a NON Christian; regardless of what 80% of the world preaches). Here is what happens when you sin; whether you are a Christian or not...
    ...Leviticus 26:28 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury (wrath); and I, even I, will chastise (punish) you seven times for (each of) your sins.
    IE: IF you steal $100.00; Jesus will cause you to lose $700.00. Now IF you flaunt it; Jesus will 7 X 10 it; and he will cause you to lose $7,000.00.0. Oh indeed. Etc! And this scenario is happening all over the world every day. Oh yes.
    Thus; Yuz better lessen your sins; and never forget the "consequences". I will show you how to lessen your sins below.
    On the other hand; Jesus blesses untold, when we do good deeds. I said every thing above to say this: Jesus (who IS God); is THE "PERFECT" Judge. For He never skips a punish OR a blessing. Thus he is the quintessential Judge. This means: that His JUSTICE is always "Just".
    So if you are a Born Again Christian; pray often to Jesus; and ask him to remove the desires to sin. For IF you do not do that; You are going to live a life of "hell on earth". Oh yes. But IF you do that; your life on earth will be joyful and peaceful. He promised that.
    Matthew 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
    That verse was translated incorrectly. It should read, "And I will keep satan's temptations away from you, and I will deliver you from his evils. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen." (For Jesus NEVER tempts us to sin, etc.)
    In any case, Please Pray and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN!

      No, your incorrect. You must prove your a Christian through your works. You’re trying to deny that you’ve sinner. If you where truly in dwelled by the Holy Spirit, you’d be uncomfortable in that spot, earnestly trying to escape the sin. Sorry brother, if you aren’t indwelled, god will reject you, when you stand before his throne. Get right with the lord.

    No. Common sense. I dont need this to explained to me. I think this a reason many non believers look at Christians and see hypocrisy, when they see behaviors that not even the non believer engages in. The non believer says, why would I want to be like those people when I'm more ethical and kind than they are? If you treat people like crap, if you are greedy, and if you dont help your fellow man, I would rather spend time with non believers than with a Christian. Common sense.

    Can I Sin as Much as I Want to and Still Be a Christian? If a person truly believes in Jesus death on the cross and his resurrection to get them into heaven and only that , then yes Christians can sin all they want and still go to heaven (but not without earthly consequences).
    If someone does not believe this , then they are trusting in Jesus and themselves to get to heaven which is not biblical.

      @Miguel09z 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Daniel. I've been where you are and its very troubling to the soul because it leaves you in a lukewarm feeling with God. The one thing we have to realize is that there is a difference between repentance and remorse. Repentance is not an emotion, it is a decision to turn to God in all your ways, and it requires faith. But this faith, you must grow in it. Its why we're tols to love God with all your heart mind and soul. What you're feeling is remorse for your sins, and sorrowful remorse is good because it leads to repentance.
      2 Corinthians 7:10
      10For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
      But don't let remorse take the place of repentance. For even an unrighteous man can feel remorse for the wrong he has committed, but unless he repents, then he has not changed. When God repented of destroying Nineveh because they repented of their sins, it wasn't a feeling, it was a decision not to destroy Nineveh.
      Jonah 3:10
      10And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
      There is a role model and he will be with you if you let him in. Let him live through you so that you will live by him. Christ is the role model from God, he is the good sheppard that we follow. He suffered temptation, and he overcame it. Likewise we suffer temptation everyday. By his spirit, if it be within a man, that man will overcome temptations and not sin because like John said, God's seed is in him by the spirit.
      1 John 3:9-10
      9Whosoever is born of God 👉doth not commit sin👈; for 👉his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God👈. 10In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

    I have a question about this and have had it for a long time:
    Let's say, for example, a rapist actually became saved and later he continues to rape.
    And there is another person who is also saved and has changed most of his ways.
    How would the rapist be recieved in heaven? How does his sin and the other person's sin differ on heaven? I hear there are different levels of heaven and some people earn rewards based on theor works on earth, but everyone will still have a holy life.
    How are their sins judged fairly when they are both going to heaven?

    • @Miguel09z
      @Miguel09z 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Remember, we are told not to be deceived, all unrighteousness shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Neither of the two you mentioned would make it to heaven if they don't repent of their sins that they have committed. God will judge without partiality or respectof persons as scripture states. He has called for all of us to repent and to love him and one another. To love God means to turn to him in all your ways...to repent...depart from sin, effectually stop sinning all together. Many churches skew the lines between remorse and repentance, but remorse and repentance are different. Even a sinner can feel remorse for his sins, but he never repents of his sins (make a decision to stop committing them) then he hasn't changed.
      Consider Esau who found no repentance, even though he searched earnestly for it. That searching stemmed from his remorse. But without a change of heart and mind to make a decision not to sin, then one is not in the spirit, but in their flesh fulfilling their fleshly lusts.
      Hebrews 12:16-17
      16Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. 17For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

      La Flaka Acabando
      2 Corinthians 5:10
      For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
      Hebrews 12:4-11
      4 You have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin; 5 and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons,
      “My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord,
      Nor faint when you are reproved by Him;
      6 For those whom the Lord loves He disciplines,
      And He scourges every son whom He receives.”
      7 It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline? 8 But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. 9 Furthermore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much rather be subject to the Father of spirits, and live? 10 For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness. 11 All discipline for the moment seems not to be joyful, but sorrowful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.
      Revelation 3:19
      Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent.
      As far as discipline/chastisement goes everyone will be judged differently based on their lives.
      For example: Let’s say I’m a worst sinner than you and let’s say you overcame the temptations I indulged in during this lifetime.
      You will get a lighter chastisement than me because I sowed to the flesh more than you.
      God is just with His discipline and rewards. At the judgement seat of Christ some people are going to be without rewards but are still saved based on faith in Jesus accomplishment.
      All our sins are judged at the cross. But if you continue sinning after initial faith in Christ, that’s your chastisement increasing and works being burned up.

      Salvation can’t be lost. If that is so, then Jesus would have to reverse His death and resurrection and eternal life would become temporal life.
      Don’t get me wrong, God wants us to be obedient to Him and overcome these lusts, passions etc but it’s not for salvation because salvation is through believing in Christ alone
      The Bible teaches that God is a fair judge. Are sins can’t condemn us anymore but it can get us a nice lashing from our creator.
      I hope this helps.

    I was a Believer I. Christ who loved smoking weed.
    But God went to great lengths to deliver me from that bondage.
    one time I was buying a nickel bag from a street dealer. normally he'd put the drug in a tiny plastic bag but he was all out.
    He asked me if it was ok if he wrapped it up in a random piece of paper that he had. I agreed he wrapped up my weed and I put the paper in my pocket ready to unravel it later.
    later on I carefully unwrapped the paper only to find out it was a tract!
    what makes it even more incredible was the message on the tract.
    the message was this

    But i think you might add this to your video
    1John 3:6-10
    No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.

  • @blkjeesus
    @blkjeesus 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The problem is in the phrase "once saved always saved." It is clearly not in the Bible. I get that some will say that you cannot lose your salvation because you never earned it in the first place. But in my view, that is the wrong way to approach it. Yes, Jesus died and rose again to save mankind from his sin. His work was finished. However, our salvation depends un us ACCEPTING His grace and mercy. So is it possible to then REJECT His grace and mercy? I believe the answer is yes.
    Hebrews 6:12 (KJV)
    “Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will we do, if God permit. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.”
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6:1-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬
    It says "if they shall fall away...", meaning that some will. Some will accept Jesus, then reject him later. Does that mean they were never saved in the first place? Possibly. But more than likely, it describes a person who loses faith over time, and the difficulty of bringing that person back to a state of repentance.

    • @ceciliahernandez9517

    God is not dealing with us on the basis of sin and death. He is dealing with us on the basis of a new life in Christ. God is not counting our sins against us (2 Corinthians 5:19; Romans 4:8). The question is not, "Can I Sin as Much as I Want to and Still Be a Christian?" The question is "Why are you wanting to sin as much as you want as a Christian?" Furthermore, "What is your understanding of the Gospel?" If you know the Gospel, you will know that your sin doesn't separate you from God, much less lead you to lose your salvation. Those teaching that our sins are still an issue between us and God and that we have to subject ourselves to a life of obedience and repentance to laws will only end up producing more sin in a person's life. Therefore, they are the ones teaching a license to sin. We are forgiven. If we are struggling with sin, we need to "approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16)."

    Why do people preach salvation by works while the scripture made it very clear and states otherwise?! WHY?! Because it's the ONLY thing the flesh UNDERSTAND. WORKS.. WORKS.. WORKS.. WORKS. And many will be sent to hell because of this. LORD.. LORD.. not I have done many wonderful WORKS! And lord knew them not! All of the sudden they realized their fatal mistake just like the Jews did.

    Can a person who intentionally PRACTICES sin, REALLY be accepted by God & continue to be saved? I would say NO! Every human is born with imperfection & sin. We "sin" by nature. We screw up. We do things wrong & most people are sorry for their mistakes & sins they commit, most are Unintentional.
    The '"Once Saved, Always Saved" doesn't fly with me. In Hebrews 10:26-31 it tells us those who PRACTICE SIN WILLFULLY though having full knowledge of God, will not receive the benefits of Jesus sacrifice. If a person is practicing over & over, a sin that God condemns it's like what they have no love or respect for what God has done for humans. In Hebrews 10:29, it says those who willfully sin, deserve a greater punishment because they are "Trampling on the Son of God's sacrifice & considering Christ's life saving blood & body as ordinary".
    The Old adage, that "Knowledge Is Power" & "When You Know Better, You Do Better" can be very true, at least in most people. If we say we LOVE & KNOW God & his son Jesus & we obey them with our whole heart, mind & strength, we will do well in our life. But, if say we know God & yet do not obey Him, we are actually Abusing the Love that God has for us by purposely & continually practicing sin. Those who do this kind of sinning will reap their punishment. Galatians 6:7. God is NOT one to be mocked!

    That's a simple answer and according to the Bible, Yes you can sin as much as you want and get heaven because heaven is not a reward, it a gift of God after you have accepted Christ, however, let not forget there will be tears in heaven, some Christians will be ashamed at his coming, so what does this mean? Even know us Christian will not go through the 7 year Tribulation, hell/lake of fire, even know we will be heaven when we die or the rapture takes places, even know we will have followership with God throughout the Eternal Age, you will NOT rule and reign with Jesus Christ when he come to earth a second time to set up his kingdom for 1000 years. So let's not forget us Christians will stand before God at the Judgment seat of Christ and it is based on how we live our lives as a Christian no matter if it good or bad. God through Jesus Christ will judge each of us and this will determine our positions of rulership in Christ 1000 year kingdom. Some will be Great in his kingdom, some will be least, others won't rule at all.

    Let's be a tad bit more brutal. No, you shouldn't sin as a Christian. Forget heaven or hell. Let's talk about judgement for our actions
    Ezekiel 18:24
    [24]"But when a righteous man turns away from his righteousness, commits iniquity and does according to all the abominations that a wicked man does, will he live? All his righteous deeds which he has done will not be remembered for his treachery which he has committed and his sin which he has committed; for them he will die.
    God will judge sin if you don't stop it. Grace will not cover for continuing sin. It wipes away past sins and gives the ability to strive for perfection in Christ. Can you make mistakes? Sure it's possible and God will forgive when you turn back. But who's getting hurt in the long run? Who's wasting time and wallowing in imperfection? Who's abusing God's grace by compromising time and time again (especially knowingly). Be afraid of the Lord's indignation. He's slow to anger but he can get there. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom

    You can't deliberately sin and expect to go to heaven (1 Cor 6:9,10) Only 144,000 go to heaven from the Earth to reign with Jesus in the Kingdom Government (Rev 14:1-3) Those not invited will live forever on a Paradise Earth (Psalms 37:9-11 & 29)

    You won’t have peace living in sin. This is coming from someone who has “seesaw-ed” in their Christianity. I always come back and dread the day I go back into it. You might live in sin for a couple years, but eventually the Holy Spirit will start nagging at you. You’ll start to doubt your Salvation-this is by design, rejoice in it! How do you prevent falling back?? Listen to preaching constantly (subscribe to Allen Parr 😅), and never cease praying!!! And let’s pray for each other! Can’t wait to meet you all in eternity. God bless! Fight the fight and keep the faith!

    Its very DANGEROUS to think that because you say you believe and received Jesus then you can do just about anything without repenting AND not wanting to AVOID sin, yet believe you are on your way to heaven. The Bible says; Without HOLINESS no one WILL see the Lord. That's not to say we are perfect, however, as a child of God, WE SHOULD be striving for perfection in Christ daily, otherwise we lie.

    This is an awesome lesson. I have a Christian friend who is addicted to cigarettes & alcohol. He believes He is saved & can continue sinning. I told him; he had created a Christian idol which allows him to sin while professing Christianity while drunk. No one who is lawless will enter the Heaven. See Matthew 7:21-23, " “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!"

    Galatians 5: 19-23. Are you really filled with the spirit. Galatians 6: 3, for if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he decieves himself. In other words, talk is very cheap, God isn't clueless.
