Bro - remember to add that when taking the screen off, to sellotape It (or something equivalent) - to stop shards/splinters of glas flying up in the face. Good video. I'm just waiting for a replacement screen so I can attempt this myself. (I did get one from eBay, but they sent a black one instead of gold... so I have to wait longer again). But I am getting better. I hope this is my first project that's successful on a smartphone. I have done a couple of others, but not a smartphone in the recent models, speaking. I hope your video will spur me on to victory !
@@colchesterphonerepair3835 YES !!!! DID IT ! Although I didn't remove the sticky film on the rear of the glass, at first. It was showing a charging icon, but wouldn't switch on. As soon as the film.was removed, it kicked on. (And unfortunately I have a small crack on the top corner, through trying to do what you said NOT to do. But it's cool. It's my first. It's a project. I already have another spare, as well. Gotta give YOU the kudos, for making it easy to understand. Thank you man.
No, in my experience that tends to happen when the hole for the button is either too big (from the supplier) or if the button is sitting too high off of the frame. That can happen if the adhesive layer is too thin or the screen was clamped too tightly. Those may not be your issues, just what I've seen.
I did replace as per your instruction. For some reason the swipe (touch screen) do not work anymore after few days. It was working at the initial LCD replacement. Then I did replace the LCD with another one brand new, same issue, the display is OK, but swipe not work. I believe is some phone connector, any idea?

Hey that’s awesome! I’m sure you’ll get it just fine. Just take your time and don’t force the screen.

Depending on where you are in the world will change where you would order the parts.
In Canada I went through esourceparts Canada... There is Amazon but quality or parts can be a concern. Hope you found a reliable screen.
Ebay's a good start, bro. Ebay is pretty much in most corners of the world now.
