That made me smile and get chills. Plyphon is my favorite track (probably) off of quaristice. I love how when that attack glitchy malfunctioning synth comes in you reveal that mass of color, like some beast lurking in the music. Your interpretation is pretty much spot on in my opinion. And haha to the people who don't like this music. I can only imagine what some people think of this, haha.
This is what I show most when they ask me about Autechre. The video just shows what the song looks like in my opinion. So it gives the listener the best “identification of song” I would say.
I've always loved this video, one of the few videos I always find myself coming back to! Can literally never get bored of it. While I was watching it just then it made me wonder, what the hell would bine look like if it were represented in a video like this! That would seriously be the best thing ever. Will have to include plenty of rolling beats. I swear someone has to attempt this!
I did what I could to show people this. I don't know how well I did, but it's nice to see this over a 100k instead of at 1k :) You deserve the attention
Provides a listening experience so far beyond the audio alone. Seeing all the weird phrases and hidden melodies represented in 3d space makes them way easier to grasp
Just back for my daily dose of this video. :D People need to spread the word about this incredible work. This thing should have 100,000 views by now at least.
@simoncosa So right Autechre true pioneers of anylitical listening there is only a few other artists that command that much attention and Ae hold it each and every time ! Listening sensatios unrivalled some of the nights and heights I have had exploring my psyche with their music shame I cant do it forever (Narcotically) ! Been doing it nearly 20 years I dont want to stop i never will !!!
amazing. perfect metaphor for life. spontaniously appearing colors, spiraling stairwells, trash cans, the multiple layers. the display of past and future disintegrating. genius stuff keep it up
dunno why so many people diss Quaristice...its a freakin masterpiece. love it. and it just gets better and better with each listen. [not sayiin the posts here were dissin'...outside folk have neg comments. i say, they dont know whats up]
Amazing how you were able to translate the sounds into shapes! It makes it so much easier to hear everything what is going on. I kind of lost touch with Ae in the past decade but if you create a video like this with every song I'd be liking them more.
Now this is intelligent design. I would say that Gantz Graf inspried the idea of using objects to provide distinction of what the song's doing? Regardless, impressive work.
Will probably be one of the best artworks of the 2000s.... Autechre will be remembered in 200 years time, as will Amon Tobin. This video, though... I don't have the words
I have no words that can describe this track and it's visual counterpart, it's that amazing. So, I can make music, but nothing as unique and cool sounding as this. I still cannot get over the way the visuals perfectly represent the track. If only I could learn AE to make cool visuals for my own music.
@TheAPC91 a 3D program. If you're nto free software, there's a nifty little program called Blender. It's very good and has even been used commercially for movies, ads, models ect.
0:29 The bit when where the kick has a decay. The way the front thingy turns and stops in the silence: PURE FUCKING ADRENALINE! Whoever did this, has an amazing talent! Gantz Graf is cool, but this video here facinates me more to be honest!
Autechre is the most brilliant when it comes to IDM. People complain so much about them but you got to have a trained ear and try no to listen to it like it's music.
Seriously, I always come back to this video perplexed at how much attention to detail is given here. Did the producer had access to the original audio project of this song?
I republished plyPhon in a new 4K version!

Yes mate. Ace job. Best music video ever.
I love how in 2000s music project was much more futuristic than today
One of the most magical visual experiences I've ever seen
That made me smile and get chills. Plyphon is my favorite track (probably) off of quaristice.

I love how volume is shown through the camera's proximity to each object
seriously 1:27 is so clever
My thoughts too & the texture of each piece is symbiotic with the sound. Volume UP
+davie didgood Yep, I especially like the very thin but bright white beams of light striking down for those quick blips of audio at 0:47 and 0:56
This is what I show most when they ask me about Autechre. The video just shows what the song looks like in my opinion. So it gives the listener the best “identification of song” I would say.
I'm crying for an HD version of this
LOL, but do this man, amazing job
120 FPS 4k pl0x
omg yes please!!! this needs to be seen in crisp HD!
Well this inspired me greatly for th-cam.com/video/5m2nzYUdR5s/w-d-xo.html

it exists now :)
This is literally one of the best videos I've ever seen. That's not an exaggeration.
This is like a synesthetic representation of the song...
These visuals are AMAZING

Pausing any part of this video shows a work of art I'd hang on my wall!
Mindblowing! And one of my favourite ever Autechre tunes too!
does anyone know if this video is official or fan made? 'cause if it's the latter, whoever made it is entitled to a statue!
It's made by the uploader :)
Old TH-cam. Still great. This one's been on my list a minute. Still trips me out.
This should be our New National Anthem... Keep Britain Autechre!!
I did what I could to show people this.
I don't know how well I did, but it's nice to see this over a 100k instead of at 1k :)
You deserve the attention
I fucking refuse to believe the song and this video were made by humans. There's no fucking way, it's too perfect and detailed.
Provides a listening experience so far beyond the audio alone. Seeing all the weird phrases and hidden melodies represented in 3d space makes them way easier to grasp
Just back for my daily dose of this video. :D

unofficial video - personal work??? Amazing! I couldn't believe it at first. You need to be working with Autechre, be their visual director.
@simoncosa

amazing kickrush track, amazing album, amazing video
Very impressed!!! This is A+ work.
it is like they materialized music in that video! perfect...
this is brilliant. it compliments and translates the music so well.
I don't often comment, but well done my friend. I thought that was an official video. That was an infinitely interesting bit of work. Well done.
I've been watching this for years and it still impresses me everytime.
Those visuals...
every time i come back to this video it blows me away as much as the first time i watched it. utterly brilliant.
I wish Lucio did this for one whole Autechre album and released it for IMAX! Would be incredible watching this on a giant screen.
That is very hard and excellent work, either you were involved in the Gantz_Graf-video, else you fooled me! Rare eye and ear candy none the less.
One of AEs best in my opinion.
amazing. perfect metaphor for life. spontaniously appearing colors, spiraling stairwells, trash cans, the multiple layers. the display of past and future disintegrating. genius stuff keep it up
this is an unofficial video!? what the what!? it's spot on...
Juste parfait, la meilleure union entre le son et l'image
dunno why so many people diss Quaristice...its a freakin masterpiece. love it. and it just gets better and better with each listen.
[not sayiin the posts here were dissin'...outside folk have neg comments. i say, they dont know whats up]
the person making this video was properly feeling the music.
The best visual of the song. Ever
I am actually still open jawed with amazement how good that was, can't actually believe iv never seen this before!
I often find that music videos detract from songs that I love. This is one example where it is not the case. Possibly my favourite music video ever.
whaaat i would swear this is rutterfords work great job m8
god damn, foreal - that should be the official music video it's that good.
Now THAT... was amazing. Fantastic job. Music goes great with the visuals.
Amazing how you were able to translate the sounds into shapes! It makes it so much easier to hear everything what is going on. I kind of lost touch with Ae in the past decade but if you create a video like this with every song I'd be liking them more.
This needs to be 4k60p!
Imagine!
very late answer, but it is now :)
Absolutely love this... PLEASE put a HD version up on your website or something
Really, really good work. I like your interpretation. This is one of my faves off Quaristice, you certainly did it justice.
damn good job on the video! fits very well, I would have totally believed it to be an "official" video. good work.
autechre are so talented, this song is still extremely unique, amazing music video too
This video is damn good :D
Even though I don't like the music behind it - the animation is an amazing piece of work.
DUDE! YOU ROCK!
Very nice!!! It wouldn't surprise me if they contacted you to do some work for them.
Should be an executable demo for the demoscene.
The video is fantastic! Congratulations! Great detail and very imaginative result! Great choice of song as well. Really enjoyed it!
the timing was nothing short of amazing
very very good work
Now this is intelligent design. I would say that Gantz Graf inspried the idea of using objects to provide distinction of what the song's doing? Regardless, impressive work.
This is exceptionally awesome when viewed with a good sound system...
Exceptional work on the video!

The little drum units are so cute! :D

This was fucking amazing, and deserves way more views.
Truly captivating. Magnificent job!
jawdropping, hilariously exact

Great vid! Autechre would be proud.

never once thought i was actually looking at something that looked what it sounds like, until this
Thank you
This video is a masterpiece
fine illustration of what Ae's music actually makes inside your brain !
the best autechre video ever
I really like the track, but the video is mindblowing - awesome work. Cheers.
0:29 The bit when where the kick has a decay. The way the front thingy turns and stops in the silence: PURE FUCKING ADRENALINE! Whoever did this, has an amazing talent! Gantz Graf is cool, but this video here facinates me more to be honest!
this is why I love digital media
Autechre is the most brilliant when it comes to IDM. People complain so much about them but you got to have a trained ear and try no to listen to it like it's music.
Trained ear? What are you talking about? There is melody, rhythm and (sometimes) harmony in most Autechre songs.
@@tremolo664 cringe
every single animation is synced perfectly
This is awesome! You must have worked so much to make this video!
long ago in a faraway universe This Actually Happened.
Great attention to detail
Excellent video for the tune.
Amazing. I keep revisiting this vid because it is so epic.
This is crazy, hard to believe it was 15 yrs ago
wow....man, that's excellent. :o
Great job, I'm extremely impressed
-Xeno
Damm, it kicked me out of space!! FANTASTIC!!
WOAH.
wait, this isn't even an official video?
Man I bet Autechre would be very impressed if they were to see this.
Awsome video! It reminds me the concept about the video for Gantz Graf
Mindblowing - on a par with Rutterford in terms of concept and delivery.
Seriously, I always come back to this video perplexed at how much attention to detail is given here. Did the producer had access to the original audio project of this song?
超カッコいい!
Fantastic work!
Absolute Class !!!
This is a Happy place thank you!
Лучший клип что я видел
Fantastic! More of please :)
