    3 < 5 (x + 1)
    3 < 5x + 5
    5x + 5 > 3
    5x > -2
    x > -0.4

    Another solution. This avoids the distributive rule for the middle term. Divide each term by 5.
    Left side has 3/5. Middle term is x +1. Right term is 10/2 = 5.
    This solution relies upon fraction arithmetic.
    Let all terms subtract 1. Left term. Let 1 = 5/5 such that the left term transforms to 3/5 - 5/5 = -2/5. Middle term is x. Right term is 2 -1 = 1.
    My solution matches yours. 😃

    tnx 4 sharing... every little bit helps! thot u mite be interested to kno, my computer-glasses have a yellow-orange tint which blocks "blue light" and is a healthy choice for those who stare at computers all day (ME) the thing is, they block "yellow" so i dont see the yellow-highlights in the vid' :)

      @@entropy8902 it is correct, i just did not want to include the greater or lesser than sign. Also i did not show any solution bec i did it mentally by equating it to zero.
