People don't want to live in bad apartments. People naturally want homes with yard for a dog and space for a garden. Part of the reason prices are so high is over regulation. We need to open up more land to the kind of development that families desire.

Current new-home builds are such poor quality and extreme pricing, home ownership is just impossible at these costs.
What we need is medium density housing not just apartments and single family homes.
