So this song came out 2 days ago and I’ve already identified a few subliminal messages. I think it’s all about COVID. Just looking at the lyric “so quit stitching me up,” - that’s easy to interpret as a complaint against mandates. The lyrics to the second half of the chorus are: “Sew me shut to rip me back open until my body's broken So quit stitching me up” But if you listen closely, it sounds like he’s saying: “So we shot So when they got covid Til my god is broken So clit’s stitchin me up” These interpreted lyrics obviously don’t make a lot of sense on their own, but they are more understandable in relation to the rest of the song. If he’s saying his god is broken, that would correspond to a lyric in the bridge where he says “so why did I pray to you?” As for the “clit” lyric, this led me to consider that the title of the song isn’t “quit stitching me up”, or even “stitching me up”, but rather “stitch me up.” Why would the title indicate that he wants to be stitched up when the song is about the complete opposite? Well, because he’s actually talking about pussy as being what is getting him through the pandemic. Therefore, the title serves as a calling card to the listener that you are justified in your suspicion of there being subliminal messages in the song.
