I'm still wishing for a happy ending where the Ukrainian welcome their brothers with flowers and cheers.
Ah.. Wishful thinking on saving life's instead of watching it thrown away like history repeating it self over and over again.
Imagine if the following countries welcome the US instead of resisting them.
Brown University’s Costs of War Project this month released a new estimate of the total death toll from the U.S. wars in three countries: Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. The numbers, while conservatively estimated, are staggering. Brown’s researchers estimate that at least 480,000 people have been directly killed by violence over the course of these conflicts, more than 244,000 of them civilians. In addition to those killed by direct acts violence, the number of indirect deaths - those resulting from disease, displacement, and the loss of critical infrastructure - is believed to be several times higher, running into the millions.
When the U.S. military first apologized for the botched drone strike that killed 10 civilians in Kabul, Afghanistan, including seven children, it insisted that it got one thing right: Zemari Ahmadi stopped at an “ISIS safe house.” Now, this week, the military admitted that “We have not found any particular safe house.” Our visual investigation takes you inside the misidentified home.

So how many Western nations got punished for killing 1 million iraqi's, 250.000 Afghans and 500.000 Syrians.... These nations were all illegally invaded by the US and NATO buddies.. They people in these nations were even cheering about these invasions. NOt 1 tear shed, not one nation punished for their crimes. It shows the true face of people in the West. It's disgusting...
Assange is in still jail for exposing the war crimes of the West..
The West don't punish the ones committing crimes against humanity, but they punish the one exposing them...
Please tell me who got punished for lying about WMD's and killing 1 million Iraqi's?

@Mickey Johnson Putin decided to strike in large part because Donald Trump and his buddies were kissing Putin's *ss. Trump is good buddies with this bloodthirsty power mongering monster who murders hundreds of little Ukrainan children and babies. Trump is the same person as Putin, a dictator. Do I wish to have a leader like Vladimir Putin? Heck NO! Trump has been accepting the help of Putin's paid Trolls and Thugs in order to manipulate Americans online, by posting lies online, day after day, as well as conspiracy theories with fabricated sources, as well as the Trolls working together providing support online. They were pushing lies and half truths in favor of Trump, and fabricated lies about Biden, Harris, and Biden's family. Do I wish Trump would go back into the presidency. NO! He must be tried as a traitor to the United States and our Constitution for his encouragement of the January 6th uprising and rioting. He must also be dealt with in terms of his betrayal of the U.S. to Putin too. They should strip him of citizenship, escort him to the East Coast, place him on a boat with his family, with orders to never return to the United States or he'll face prison time for treason.

They want to paint Ukraine government as the good guy.
They even make those stopping a Russian tank as heroes without explaining the tank driver have no intention of running them over unlike the Japanese in Ww2.
The Russian tanks even followed the traffic law.
None of the western media want to show that the president of Ukraine are using civilians as human shield.
It won't be a surprise if he secretly order to shell his own civilians to get sympathy from the west.

Why? Who wants to admit that we are actually too selfish, too apathetic, too afraid, too worried about ourselves and how this situation might inconvenience or even possibly cause us harm if the worst case scenario happens, allowing our fear and confusion to dominate our thinking. Which has buried our virtue and morality even deeper, than our long since gone courage to do the right thing lies buried. America spends 750 billion a year on our military only to allow a wretched little vicious weasel to murder completely innocent women and children by targeting them directly, to which we say, that’s horrible, we should do something about Putin, as long as it doesn’t upset him. I’M ASHAMED OF AMERICA AND HER PEOPLE. WE WON’T EVEN MAKE RUSSIA STOP MURDERING INNOCENT CHILDREN. If we won’t stand up for women and children, we won’t stand up for anything at all.

We [Afghans] have been suffering from the war started by the Russians since 1979. Still, I have been living in the Emirate International humanitarian city as a war refugee for the last several months with limited movement restrictions. It is really difficult to leave your house, family members, relatives, friends, country and everything you worked your whole life for it and left it behind. Ukrainian need to be living peacefully in their own home and country. Refuges life is not without difficulties, we Afghans have bitter experiences of that. What is happening in Ukraine breaking my heart. Ukrainian people need the support of the world people regardless of race, color, religion, and other differences. We and Ukraine are the victims of the great power.

what happened with Russia in Afghanistan was horrible everyone points out the west but Russia hands are bloody bloody bloody unlike the west they never admit it though I think that makes it worse Russia still never recognizes the Holodomor famine or the Katyn Forest. Ironically it was Hollywood that brought russia in Afghanistan to the public attention in the rambo movies.

Lester Holt characterized the little boy stooping down playing with a toy car as “playing joyfully”. How did he know the child was joyful? He didn’t look joyful to me. He looked the way I remember feeling when I wanted to appear oblivious to things going on around me that the adults were clearly anxious about. To someone else he may have looked like a little boy fantasizing about being a race car driver. As consumers of news it’s our prerogative to speculate on (and comment on) that meanings of what is being reported. That becomes more difficult when one of the basic criteria of a robust free press is undermined by supposedly unbiased journalists who inject their own interpretations and opinions into objectively observable facts. just my opinion.

Whoa, I’m sorry this is happening to Ukrainian. The people of the USA have sent thousands of dollars if not millions, plus physical stuff like clothes, toys, food etc. plus all of the military stuff my country has sent for free which I help pay for to help you. And we do it gladly. Only hindsight is 20/20. If we don’t take care of ourselves we won’t be able to help anyone else. Imho we are not the only kid on the block. You aren’t even part of nato. I know I am blessed. The USA is only 244 years old. Being that you have been around longer why aren’t you further ahead. Ya know we don’t have a dog in this fight yet I can’t sit back and do nothing.the financial burden being placed on my family is huge. And I mean huge. I am going to continue to help. But don’t blame any of this on the USA. Especially when begging for help. Like replacing Poland planes with ours. No other country is coughing up their planes besides Poland. And is anyone going to pitch in to cover the cost of the replacement planes we are supposed to give to Poland. Sending hugs and prayers to us all

Its sad about the students from India but at the same time The government of india thought it was more important to uphold their Military weapons deal with Russia than to vote to get Putin to stop invading the Ukraine so its hard to offer much sympathy when much of the social media and reporting from india is not anti putin but anti westerns interference. It was ok when it was Ukrainian students but now its indian students its so horrible but hey they still get their russian missiles and weapons
