Hi Eadsie getting ready to pull the oil filler hose out a pig of a job in the cold but needs doing. The headlights on my car are good had to disconnect and reconnect to get the switch to work though, as now retired and mainly motorbike (Ducati and Triumph) and cycles busy getting things in priority order. Keep up the great work, love my car after 30 years of company cars and having to be a bit careful with funds. Thanks Noel
Awesome noel, same here, i don't really have spare funds that's another good reason i prefer to fix (try) than simply throw money at something. Yes I'm usually doing bikes. There's plenty of bike restorations to view here lol. But I've always loved the little A2 but never had enough to buy one until now.
Hi Eadsie, hope you and your family are all well buddy. Like you, I have an a2 tdi and ordinarily, it always leaves you with a smile on your face. I have a problem with my steering. Its went very heavy and is a bugger to steer, at low speeds. It corrected itself when driving last week and I thought, I wonder how long it will last? Got back to my house, turned the car off, turned it back on and the steering was back to being very heavy. You every had any problem with the steering bud? My car is an 05 plate 1.4tdi. Any help would be greatly appreciated Eadsie. Thanks buddy. Regards.
Yes John, removing the passenger side headlight unit will allow you access to your power steering reservoir. I'm putting my money on that it's very low or even dry. Top up with power steering fluid. Start the car and simply steering full lock left then right a good few times (easier with the front wheels off the ground) this process 'bleeds' the air out of the system. Hopefully this will cure your steering woes. Best regards ade.
@@eadsierestorations Thanks Ade; I'll let you know how I get on. Appreciate the quick reply buddy. I've only recently discovered your channel and am working my way through your videos. Love the fact your into bikes as well; I've got a 54 plate vfr800. Thanks again Ade. Regards.
Good job brother
