- In this video, I install an s5000al MBRP cat back exhaust on my lifted avalanche and include many different clips of how it sounds. I also include a video clip of how the 5.3 sounds without a muffler on as well.

If your on the cheap like myself...I had a dynomax super turbo muffler #17792 3"in 3" out for a svo mustang that i sold and never got to use went my local muffler shop went 3"from cat back and dumped before axle...sounds amazing no drone nice rumble no exhaust coming in and cheap 180$ ...on a 2002 avalanche north face z71
Just installed mine on my 06 Silverado and love it. Those studs though...... recip saw, dremel tool, 3 different drill bits..... glad I"m not the only one who struggled.

Perfect volume. Loud enough to love and enjoy, but not too loud where you and everyone else will get annoyed.

A ball joint press pops those studs out in five minutes, easy peasy.

it sounds great. it is amazing how well modern bolt on exhausts are designed. they bolt on with almost no issues. i have put dozens of exhausts on my vehicles and i have always had to modify them to fit. bolt on never really just bolted on. nice job
Thanks! This was my first install of a cat back exhaust so I was pleased with how it turned out. Aside from the flange bolt issue it was great. A lot better than just swapping a muffler in for sure

Is the muffler directional? Inlet and outlet? I got the same exhaust and noticed there's no inlet or outlet?

What size wheels and tires?
Tires are 35s I’m not sure his rims or width of tire
Have you figured out what the rattle is? I put a 6" rc on my 07 classic Silverado and it's got a rattle and I don't know what it is
Yea my ebrake shoe was loose so I had to tighten it up
Its the heat shield on the muffler. Its broken about an 1/8 above the weld.
Does this cause check engine light to come on I'm new to this stuff
As it doesn't remove the cats... It shouldn't cause any problems...

@@jtmoffroad hahaha. I need to do allot of work to mine. I have a 05 Chevy Avalanche Z71 and I live in NY and my undercarriage is rusted and I want to drop my frame to grind as much rust off as I can and weld weak spots and repair the rust holes in my wheel fenders

Sounds really good . I like that it doesn't have any drone . I use Banks Monster exhaust on my 4.0 L TJ and it also sounds great , just a nice mellow tone and of course no drone . Until next time take care .
