You have to have Canbus bulbs. Mine do the same thing if you turn the map lights on. The regular dome lights will turn off. Just haven't had the chance to change mine to some canbus bulbs

The glovebox light pulls down very easily with just your fingernails. Gotta grab it from the back though!
It hooks at the side closest to you. Opposite side has the snap.

The sad part is I installed the bulbs before filming the video and made the video after the fact and knew this information, yet I broke it anyway

Also go buy yourself a set of plastic trim removal tools. I used to use a screwdriver like that too, but you end up breaking parts and scratching paint.
