It depends on where you're going in Tagaytay. If you're going to Skyranch, Nasugbu, Amadeo, Mendez or Alfonso, this is the better route to take. But if you're going to Picnic Grove, Highlands or Crosswinds, forget this route and take Sta. Rosa Exit then left at Kaykulot Bridge.

Thank you for the ride its a nice scenic view of the CALAX highway. My concern is the Aguinaldo highway seems to be shrinking every few years. I remember back then there were only a few houses and businesses there, but now it's becoming congested. And another concerning matter is there is no proper sidewalk and parking for cars, it might not be an issue now but that will become an issue years down the road. And the CALAX would have been for nothing if the LGUs aren't building proper sidewalks and enforcing strict parking laws. We could be facing slow paced traffic movement along the Silang portion of the Aguinaldo highway going to Tagaytay.

I love CALAX! First discovered it during 2020 at the height of the pandemic… had been stuck at home for months and our first time to go on a road trip was via the new CALAX… Amazing clear blue skies and puffy white clouds rejuvenated our weary souls. ( in your video , it’s a shame it was cloudy) . We just toured around Nuvali, then ordered Bulalo and food for take out to eat at home, then drove back home without going down (except for the ordering of food) 😂 and enjoyed the view once more. It’s like driving abroad. Been using CALAX ever since to go to Nuvali or Tagaytay

CALAX to Sta Rosa was a game changer bec traffic from Sta Rosa Slex exit to Nuvali area is always horrible. Bypassing that straight to Nuvali area then heading to Tagaytay is ok when it’s not holidays or weekends. But lately due to road construction for MONTHS now there’s a bottleneck that causes heavy traffic. And the problem also are slooow cars or vans and tricycles especially when 2 of these slow vehicles are side by side 🙄 (on 2 lane areas) and you can’t even overtake them. There’s no “fast lane”.
Last year mga May ba open nadin ung tibig exit? Sayang pala akala ko dati hanggang sa may s&r lang kaya dun ako lage nageexit heheh well way to go pa pala pero mqlaking bagay ang aguinaldo silang exit mas maluwag kesa tagaytay sta rosa road. Thanks for this video😊
Best to avoid Aguinaldo / Cavite. Cavite yun e. Enjoy the more scenic route and take Sta. Rosa exit. Traffic naman kahit saan kung tinanghali ang byahe.

Sir Ask ko lang.. dati kasi may dinanaan kami from CALAX forgot saan nag exit ung driver namin noon (Ako na kasi nag dadrive ngayon) pero parang sa SILANG EXIT din sya nag exit nun tas parang may Bypass road kaming dinaanan sa ALFONSO na kami nag lumabas sa may malapit sa Amuyong yata.. so kung gusto mo iwasan ang tagaytay ng buo ok un route na yun pa baba sa nasugbu, lian, calatagan. Baka po alam mo yung route na to or kung may video kana. Para kasing sarado noon mga nakaraang buwan. Going back naman sa Manila sa AMADEO Kami dumadaan going to CALAX Santarosa Exit Baka may video karin ng mga route pabalik naman sa manila from Tagaytay or Nasugbu. Salamat!
Possible sa Silang East nga yun. Especially kung may mga small roads and bypass roads. Sa ngayon sir wala pa po ako driving tour from Tagaytay going back to Manila. I’ll try to make one soon! 😃

Palayo pala yung bagong exit ng Silang Aguinaldo hway kung papuntang Tags, Maigi pa rin pala ang Exit sa Kaong kasi malapit na siya sa Silang Town Proper compare sa Aguinaldo Highway na exit na bago bukas from CALAX kung papunta ka ng Tagaytay. Pero good exit ito pa SM Dasma habang di pa buo ang next exit na ginagawa pa Dasma
How so I got charged p360 and they gave a no header receipt.paper..we came from the skyway of manila. There were few of us that were stopped by the toll last March
At this point ang advantage na lang ng Sta Rosa Tagaytay Road is its close to other tourist destinations and walang buses na dumadaan sa area na yun :)
Didn't finish the video but noticed that the pavement was accomplished with just concrete similar to other so-called completed projects. This new route could be more comfortable for passengers and also be regarded as world-class if only they considered the pavement finish using asphalt materials.

Ang problema dyan sa Mamplasan Calax rotonda, yung mga galing ng Binan, sinarahan ng daan pa left turn to enter sa Mamplasan SLEX North bound. Kailangan lampasan yun, tapos mag U-Turn dun sa Calax rotonda. Ang problema, nag ccause ng matinding traffic sa rotonda kasi lahat ng sasakyan dun na ngayon dumadaan, imbis na sana, yung iba naka left turn na agad sa SLEX Mamplasan North bound maiipit ka pa sa rotondo, halos madagdagan ng 30 to 40 minutes byahe mo dahil sa pag sara na ginawa dyan. Tsk tsk.

Was that a Ferrari in front of you at the toll booth? Nice here in PH. But only out there in Luzon where that car could be driven. Anywhere else in PH would be a torture. Btw, nice roadways.
If you take the Sta Rosa exit to traverse your way to Tagaytay City, you're making a huge mistake. There's a merge/choke point (a lot of it) along the way to Tagaytay Public Market and you'll be stuck in heavy traffic. Might take you an hour or more to reach Tagaytay City. Just follow the road as shown here if going to Tagaytay City. It's faster.

Mas ok parin sta rosa silang na way pa tagaytay kung weekdays walang traik, iwasan mo lang 6 to 7 pm medyo may trapik pa rin pero kung tanghali ka gang 4 pm or 8 pm ka ba byahe pa akyat nako luwag ng daan. Alam ko kasi taga sta rosa ako and halos everyday kami naakyat

there’s an incremental 8km, plus extra time corresponding, from calax starosa exit to calax Aguinaldo exit, if you go this route. But I’d exit Calax Sta Rosa If you’re going only to Tagaytay. The beauty of alternatives are obvious though, kudos man. Great map!
Para sa akin po, kung hindi weekends much better to take sta rosa exit. Pero kung traffic like weekends, much better po ang silang exit. Aguinaldo Exit for me is recommended kung papunta ka ng Dasma.
Totoo ba yung CLBEX(Cavite, Laguna, Batangas Expressway)? Kung totoo ito, maganda kung ganun dahil pwede magkaroon ng exit pa twin lakes, mas mabilis panigurado ang byahe

It depends on where you're going in Tagaytay. If you're going to Skyranch, Nasugbu, Amadeo, Mendez or Alfonso, this is the better route to take. But if you're going to Picnic Grove, Highlands or Crosswinds, forget this route and take Sta. Rosa Exit then left at Kaykulot Bridge.

Thank you for the ride its a nice scenic view of the CALAX highway. My concern is the Aguinaldo highway seems to be shrinking every few years. I remember back then there were only a few houses and businesses there, but now it's becoming congested. And another concerning matter is there is no proper sidewalk and parking for cars, it might not be an issue now but that will become an issue years down the road. And the CALAX would have been for nothing if the LGUs aren't building proper sidewalks and enforcing strict parking laws. We could be facing slow paced traffic movement along the Silang portion of the Aguinaldo highway going to Tagaytay.

I love CALAX! First discovered it during 2020 at the height of the pandemic… had been stuck at home for months and our first time to go on a road trip was via the new CALAX… Amazing clear blue skies and puffy white clouds rejuvenated our weary souls. ( in your video , it’s a shame it was cloudy) . We just toured around Nuvali, then ordered Bulalo and food for take out to eat at home, then drove back home without going down (except for the ordering of food) 😂 and enjoyed the view once more. It’s like driving abroad. Been using CALAX ever since to go to Nuvali or Tagaytay

CALAX to Sta Rosa was a game changer bec traffic from Sta Rosa Slex exit to Nuvali area is always horrible. Bypassing that straight to Nuvali area then heading to Tagaytay is ok when it’s not holidays or weekends. But lately due to road construction for MONTHS now there’s a bottleneck that causes heavy traffic. And the problem also are slooow cars or vans and tricycles especially when 2 of these slow vehicles are side by side 🙄 (on 2 lane areas) and you can’t even overtake them. There’s no “fast lane”.

Best to avoid Aguinaldo / Cavite. Cavite yun e. Enjoy the more scenic route and take Sta. Rosa exit. Traffic naman kahit saan kung tinanghali ang byahe.

normal route namin from Mandaluyong to Nasugbu batangas eh via EDSA > SKYWAY > SLEX > CALAX > Exit to Santa Rosa - Tagaytay ( sobra traffic nito pag labas mo ng CALAX Exit hanggang tagaytay na sa Alfonso kana makaka luwag)
Kahapon nagkamali kami ng exit sa CALAX sa Silang Exit kami nag exit halos same lang din naman ung layo pero un nga lang may mga masisikip na daan after exit ng CALAX unlike ng Aguinaldo-SIlang Exit mas ok to.
Sir Ask ko lang.. dati kasi may dinanaan kami from CALAX forgot saan nag exit ung driver namin noon (Ako na kasi nag dadrive ngayon) pero parang sa SILANG EXIT din sya nag exit nun tas parang may Bypass road kaming dinaanan sa ALFONSO na kami nag lumabas sa may malapit sa Amuyong yata.. so kung gusto mo iwasan ang tagaytay ng buo ok un route na yun pa baba sa nasugbu, lian, calatagan. Baka po alam mo yung route na to or kung may video kana. Para kasing sarado noon mga nakaraang buwan.

Didn't finish the video but noticed that the pavement was accomplished with just concrete similar to other so-called completed projects. This new route could be more comfortable for passengers and also be regarded as world-class if only they considered the pavement finish using asphalt materials.

Ang problema dyan sa Mamplasan Calax rotonda, yung mga galing ng Binan, sinarahan ng daan pa left turn to enter sa Mamplasan SLEX North bound. Kailangan lampasan yun, tapos mag U-Turn dun sa Calax rotonda. Ang problema, nag ccause ng matinding traffic sa rotonda kasi lahat ng sasakyan dun na ngayon dumadaan, imbis na sana, yung iba naka left turn na agad sa SLEX Mamplasan North bound maiipit ka pa sa rotondo, halos madagdagan ng 30 to 40 minutes byahe mo dahil sa pag sara na ginawa dyan. Tsk tsk.

Was that a Ferrari in front of you at the toll booth? Nice here in PH. But only out there in Luzon where that car could be driven. Anywhere else in PH would be a torture. Btw, nice roadways.
Sa mga nagcocomment na mas malapit ang via sta.rosa-tagaytay, tama kayu. Pro pg napadaan kayu dun ng peak season, good luck!

If you take the Sta Rosa exit to traverse your way to Tagaytay City, you're making a huge mistake. There's a merge/choke point (a lot of it) along the way to Tagaytay Public Market and you'll be stuck in heavy traffic. Might take you an hour or more to reach Tagaytay City. Just follow the road as shown here if going to Tagaytay City. It's faster.
Mas prefer ko ang Sta. Rosa exit. Minsan trapik minsan hindi, parehas lang sa Aguinaldo HW.
depende sa oras at araw.... kung di nman weekend or di nman rush hour mas ok pa rin sa sta rosa silang road mas malapit. pro kung weekend wag ka dun dadaan... mag sisisi ka hahaha
Mas ok parin sta rosa silang na way pa tagaytay kung weekdays walang traik, iwasan mo lang 6 to 7 pm medyo may trapik pa rin pero kung tanghali ka gang 4 pm or 8 pm ka ba byahe pa akyat nako luwag ng daan. Alam ko kasi taga sta rosa ako and halos everyday kami naakyat

there’s an incremental 8km, plus extra time corresponding, from calax starosa exit to calax Aguinaldo exit, if you go this route. But I’d exit Calax Sta Rosa If you’re going only to Tagaytay. The beauty of alternatives are obvious though, kudos man. Great map!

Para sa akin po, kung hindi weekends much better to take sta rosa exit. Pero kung traffic like weekends, much better po ang silang exit. Aguinaldo Exit for me is recommended kung papunta ka ng Dasma.
Totoo ba yung CLBEX(Cavite, Laguna, Batangas Expressway)? Kung totoo ito, maganda kung ganun dahil pwede magkaroon ng exit pa twin lakes, mas mabilis panigurado ang byahe
