My grandpa thought the same way your dad thinks. He farmed until he was 88 and passed away one day before his 90th birthday. That's my goal 👍. Great cutting and cable skidding vidja. Have a good one.
Every single one of em ended up on the ground and nobody was hurt...Sounds like a perfect day of hand cuttin' to me! I am sure your Dad is proud of you for putting in the work to learn the other end of the biz better but on the other hand...I am sure he misses having you around in the woods everyday and spending time together!👍 Thanks for the vidja, LW!
The best times of my life were just me and Dad working some nice trees or cruising timber on a Saturday afternoon I would give anything to go back and do it again.
Wade great to see you out in the woods, 🪓 please remember we all make mistakes when cutting. You have an excuse, been in the mill so much. Just please make sure you enjoy every minute you have with your family, be it at work or at home. Massive respect from UK 🇬🇧
jealous of Wade's family-life and their loyalty to one another. My family is filled with greed and disloyalty choosing money over love of family. be grateful for what you have, I would be.
Good to see you back in the woods Tater. The market is rough. It's funny, what the rest of the world calls Hard Maple up here we call it "shag bark". Keep on logging buddy, hang in there.
That was so cool to see a old school logger wade cutting vidja, thanks for sharing Wade an great work an I look forward to seeing the next video 🇺🇲👍💪✊🤙🌲🇺🇲
I see you start that one the same as the old one..... pull the rope until the motor is warm. It is good to see some hand cutting. I do most of my hand cutting with Stihl ms201c. I top them standing.
I know the tie market should take off, because the RR followed the rivers in East Tennessee, Western North Carolina. Helene washed miles of RR track away & it has been the first to get rebuilt. Even before the roads. You see the excavators down in river pushing stone & boulders to rebuild the RR.
Nice one wade I always learn stuff I think you are a good teacher and funny with it you won't take long to lose the rust keep up the good work buddy. Do you send merchandise over the pond London England thanks.
Great video Wade! I have a ton of sugar (hard, rock lol) maple on my small property in Western New York and have wondered it's worth. It definitely makes some awesome boards. Keep up the good work buddy!
For being off the saw I'd say it all came back like it was yesterday ! Good to see you out on the stump reminds me of the earlier year logger Wade vidjas!
You ever gonna add more to your online shopping I was looking sold out alot off stuff I was looking for hoodie but no 3x in-stock glad your making videos again I've followed you since the begging
Up here in Maine, our popple must be what you call silver poplar. It’s super soft wood (but classified as a hard wood), very brittle, and 99% of them that are standing, are rotted in the heart. Burn good in my opinion, when I do tree jobs, 75% of them are popple related, so I burn a lot of popple
Rusty I’ve been off a saw for 10 years month ago got back on one thought I was 14 years old all over again had my fun I’ll try again in a couple more years me and saws don’t get along very well at all now days
Thank You for this Video. You work with the Chainsaw in the Wood, for my is it Fascinate, how You with the Chainsaw Work! Where at You a Saw with "short" Swort have, the little Wood Owner Work with Swort from 1 Metre and more! The Think long is better! What is not. This make the Man by the Timber Shows. I hope in the next Time more Videos from You in the Wood to see. Greeting from Austria 🇦🇹
Boy Howdy 🤠 do I understand “out of practice” with chainsaw skills. Camera 📷 skills? I think 🤔 I’ve heard of that but I’m not sure 🤔. Naw that was a nightmare I had once, ONCE. 🫣 Yeah, rolling the log 🪵 is a good trick. I would even wrap the log several times to roll it away from a stump, help getting it started moving or roll up out of a hole. 🕳️ Good on ya bud. Thanks for the advice, your time and the video.
It's been so many years since I've used an undercut like that, don't even know if I'd be able to do it. Been a Humboldt undercut for so long. Wedge comes out of the stump. Only difficulty is that it can be hard to get a really low stump. I like very low stumps. I am going to get on you for leaving splinters on the stump. That's been a no no with me. What kind of silvicultural cut was that? Not much left. dave
Better get that rust knocked off for that walnut! I sell alot of yellow poplar for cabinet frames as well. Hickory is miserable from the time you sink a saw into till you dry it in a kiln it's nothing but a pain in the backside hard on equipment, twists warps and just is plain hateful. Do you like that 592 over the 395? I like my 288xp and 395xp. Maybe someday I'll upgrade to a 5 series.
I'm a fat hinge guy too, blowing hinges backwards isn't an option. I'd rather have to tease it forward then watch it go backward or off towards Sawyers all willy nilly
When I first started you were 100. % hand cutting and cable skidding
Truly miss seeing your videos glad to see your back.
My grandpa thought the same way your dad thinks. He farmed until he was 88 and passed away one day before his 90th birthday. That's my goal 👍. Great cutting and cable skidding vidja. Have a good one.
For those of us who don't cut for a living...Pro Tips galore.
Thanks Wade

You need to get an exile duel port muffler for your 592 I have one on mine and I can tell a difference in the saw and it sounds good to
Big Daddy has 3 years on me and he gets around much better.
Hey I am surprised that you remembered how to hook a choker
Howdy logger wade

Did you know most session/studio drum kits are maple shells. Birch shells are preferred for live. Support your local drummer. LOL

Please tell me there is a Christmas tree video this year. Please.
morning tater
Do you have an in-house person that marks the timber to be cut? Or is that done by someone else?
Yo hoo...cuttem ole top
I left another message to mess with the log-rhythms.
Yeehaw!
I'm a fat hinge guy too, blowing hinges backwards isn't an option. I'd rather have to tease it forward then watch it go backward or off towards Sawyers all willy nilly
You’ll get it sorted again. Coulda pretended you were doing nothing wrong and just getting unlucky.
I just saw a channel called LOGGER WADE all caps that isn't you.
I'm a bad fan and a bad friend... When did Puddin' become a 592XP?
You shouldn't be calling pudding them bad names
Yall need a 615. Do away with that expensive undercarriage
