I just bought one (Axiom 49) used (I actually used to own one 5 years ago but sold it to a friend) and when I was testing it out today more in depth I noticed the F key didn't work in any octave. I did just as you said - open it up, check the connectors are secure, and put it back together. Works fine now. Thanks again

Theres pretty much nada on the inet that explains this problem or offers the illusion of fixing it. I was ready to say fuck it and trash it but i found this video on some random last attempt to save a BRAND NEW KEYBOARD. and i must admit.. It sounded way to good n easy to be true, but.. To my amazement it FUCKING WORKED! I am so fucking happy no words could possibly express my gratitude for you posting this solution! Thanx bro! N fuck you m audio for such a stupid fucking error in your product! I was having the same trouble with my M-Audio keystation 61 ES which was given to me by a guy at work, he just asked if I wanted it so I said yeah, it turned on and the modulation wheel and Pitch bend also worked, but no sound from the keys, so being that it was free I followed your guidelines of repair ... just like you, the keys were disconnected just like on your video, but thanks to you now I'm up and running... thanks for posting.
I had this same model for 10 years (A friend let me have it.). I remember bringing it to college and I would let my roommate have it. It worked fine until the one day it didn't. I completely gave up on it. Today I was doing some cleaning and thought about throwing it away. I'm glad I found this video. Thanks!!!

Opened it up, but sadly connector was plugged, keys are still not working, even after spraying air into the connector. I have no idea what to do, every electronic part seems to be in place, is it possibe that keys arent mapped?
@@petripat5979 yep, i even unscrew the whole thing to check if something was unsoldered, but it was just trash, i bought it from Pawn shop, so i got refund. but if you gotta cash go for something smaller and new. The only time its worth to buy keystation 49 e is when it costs 10 bucks ,
I had the reverse problem, the Pitch wheel was occasionally sending random events. I tried cleaning it, but in the end I pulled the connector for the pitchbend and mod wheel since I was only using it for notation entry into a scoring program.
I Bought a used Keystation49 and after cleaning one clavier didn't work. I saw your video and after unscrew the keystation49 and pushing the connector and the keys worked. I fixed mine not by taking the cover off, but instead, I just simply dropped the keyboard onto my desktop from a height of about an inch. It worked!! I figured maybe my connector just became lose, and by dropping the keyboard, it might reconnect - Well it apparently did! Thank you sir!

hey ignacio worked for me too!! some keys where not working on a behringher umx490. I just hit it a little bit gently on the modulation side and fixed the problem without taking any screw out!! thanks a lot!! i am so happy to find the solution here to fix my keyboard is working fine again!
I got a used Axiom pro 61 with unresponsive pads. Only 1 pad works and the others are completely dead. I opened it up and saw no oxidation, but just a little tear on the strip that connects to the circuit board. Is there a fix?
You just saved our school a few hundred dollars in replacement and repair costs , thank you thank you thank you !!! BTW this keyboard works great in MuLab!

top 9 keys stopped working on my key station, they offered to replace the keyboard for me but I would have had to pay to ship my broken unit so I figured I'd open it up first. the connector was loose, and re-seating it fixed the problem. thanks for the video
I've M-audio oxygen 61 mk3. It's getting power when connected to pc but pc not recognise any device. And some random numbers appear on screen and change quickly. When i turn the knobs and sliders numbers are chaning. I last used it 8 years ago and it was working fine. I wonder what problem might have been?

Thanks! they really should put some sort of clip or retaining method on that cable. Mine had backed out just enough that only my C5 key, the highest note on the keyboard, wasn't working. This made me think it was the actual key but after inspecting it, it looked find. I didn't think to even check the ribbon cable until I saw your video and that solved it. Thanks again!
Thank you! You just saved me from having to replace my keyboard. My connector was only half unplugged, so I only lost half the keys. Please advise your viewers to check the pitch bend knob BEFORE they put all the screws back in. It is easily unsnapped from its axis while handling the cover as I learned the hard way. Thank you!
i have a massive problem with my code 49 and the higher octave isnt working like the lower one is and then from c6 onwards it doesnt anymore it shows after touch on the keyboard but it doesnt do anything in my daw please someone help meee
Thanks for the ideas here. I found a fairly new one of these in a dumpster with these symptoms. In my case when I took it apart, I found a spider in the electronics. After cleaning it out, works great! (I mean it literally, a spider crawled in there and died... must have shorted something.)
Repairing my Radium 61 has been one of the most frustrating things ever. The screws need to all be as tight as possible, but none of them will even catch the threads

Hello, I have a velocity problem on my M-AUDIO KEYSTATION88 MKII keyboard. The black keys are much more sensitive than the WHITE keys. This boring problem is experienced by many people on the net. If individual keys don't work just remove the spring holding them in place. Some times dust or in my case a small hair was interfering with the contact. All in all it was also and easy fix as well.

Have you tried a factory reset
Turn power off
Hold octave +and - and advance buttons while putting power on and release the 3 buttons

i got a samson carbon 61 with 2 keys not responding an B and a C ,that is really annoying. ..
