I'm late to this party and working my way back through the videos. Love what I'm seeing and hearing. So much information and fun. CKU, oh my, I took those classes and still have all my materials and my book. It was so much fun and helped me with my beginning scrapbooking. I started by making an album for my Mom's 90th birthday in 2002. Had so much fun making that for her.

Wow what a wonderful live!. Thank you, all three of you for continuing to do what you do! You bring joy, inspiration, and inclusion to everyone.
I was a retailer back in the day, voted at that HIA show for distress, and was blessed by the Hero retailer program. Those were some of the happiest times of my life sharing with my friends and customers all the joy of creating. I do miss having a local store but also so grateful for all the online connections that came out of the pandemic. May you all be blessed as you continue to give back to this amazing community ❤❤❤

Im thrilled to be able to watch 3 incredibly talented people in 1 place. As someone who was never interested in "stamping" back in the 2000's, hearing the history is so incredible. The best thing that ever happened to me (besides having kids) is learning about this world. I've never been happier than I am now- 20 years later, playing with paper and ink, and getting to just create. Thank you for doing this!!

Watching this on replay. Such a fabulous livestream with all three of you. Thank you for all your innovations in this industry. So very true Aaron that we can get re-inspired just by watching.Truly empowering. Loved listening to all your stories. You have provided a space for all of us to create. It all started with Covid for me.Like I said many many moons ago, “Tim you’ll be one designer that will go down in history.”I’m sure many others will follow but you were instrumental.Wishing Hero Arts congratulations on their 50th year anniversary. Wishing you all many more .❤👏

Thank you so much for doing these history series. My very first stamp was a cute deer from a Hero Arts tag set that included the stamp, stamp cube, tags and markers to color it, which I probably purchased at a Ben Franklin store. Over 20+ years later, this is my hobby and wouldn’t change it for anything. ❤❤❤

This is such an awesome discussion! The stories!!! The positivity….the acceptance…. My first time meeting Aaron and I found a new friend. Thank you. Fascinating examples of how life is not linear -. It’s the turns and twists in life that are So Cool. Absolutely love “don’t yuck someone’s yum”

I was fascinated by Tim’s story…I had no idea. I really thought he had an art background but to hear he just started with a few stamps and some ink and an inspirational teacher, just like a lot of us, is great! I started 25 years ago after my husband watched one of his customer’s coloring and asked what she was doing. She showed him the stamps and he thought I would really like it as I used to color in coloring books with our friends' kids. He brought home a couple of catalogs (DOTS was one) and I bought a few sets (still have them) and had no idea what to do with them. I went to a Stampin’ Up! party (Susie was a great demonstrator) and I was off and running. Hero Arts were some of the first stamps I bought and still buy. Love, love, love Tim’s products. Jennifer has been such an inspiration. Where other hobbies have come and gone (or are dormant) card making has been a constant.

I just watched the replay of this wonderful get together! It was the most delightful treat! Going down memory lane back to the origins of Distress, the history of the industry, and your experiences along the way was wonderful! I remember those early days and appreciate you all sharing them. The positive message you demonstrate and encourage in others is the best! Thank you so much for this great experience!

Watched replay and want to just say THANK YOU ... not only to our 3 innovators here, but to all who helped pioneer with classes, makes, shows and especially companies who have taken chances to push forward. Wonderful live! I can't help but wonder if the passage of the law that allows women to obtain credit WITHOUT having a husband/father/MALE approve (which passed in 1974) had any impact on Aaron's mom being able to start her own business. Both this law and Hero Arts are celebrating their 50-year anniversary.

I remember Stampers Anonymous pre Tim Holtz. Stampers Anonymous collage stamps and Acey Deucy collage stamps are wonderful. Some of the first stamps that I collected along with them are Indian, Oriental, and Native American stamps. Interesting to hear Tim's history. My favorite Distress inks are still Tea Dye and Vintage Photo for their antique/aged look.

HOORAY for red (and grey) rubber!
Back in the early 80s I had some of my daughter's artwork made into stamps. Unfortunately they were made in photopolymer. I went to use one last week and bits of the image were gone. It was a wonderful drawing of a huge smile. Irreplaceable. I thought I was saving it for the future and I'm *crushed* for find that I didn't.

I'm the type who buys now and figures it out later😅😅 I went to my first stamp store while in London Ontario Canada and I was all over whelmed with the amount of products and I fell I need to go back 😅 as I forgotten some stuff I was actually looking for.
