Such a gorgeous song, one of my favorites on the "Da Capo" album and I love how much Linn sings here! Her voice part of Ace Of Base's signature sound, such a unique voice that made any song sound amazing! :)

Another favourite of mine, a lovely song by Jonas, sung so tenderly by Malin and Jenny. It's always a pleasure to hear them sing together. They complement each other so well.
AoB wasn't even popular anymore when this song dropped and Linn had been awol for a while. Despite all that story they made up about her being afraid of doing this or that. She showed enthusiasm about working on her own music more. I think the real reason she quit was because of all the internal drama that happened inside the group. From Linn's later interviews seemed like she wanted to be more independent on her projects and hands on in the studio. Meanwhile she kept having to worry about outshining Jenny and always being the backbone on the group working with Jonas and Ulf doing demos and recording "their" songs. Seems to me like they smothered her creative input and didn't allow her room to grow as an artists on her own. Clive Davis wanted to push the solo side of her out but the way he tried to do it just set a bigger rift between her and Jenny and the rest of the group. Guess she finally left because music no longer became enjoyable for her. It's understandable with everyone trying to pull her in different directions but the one she wanted to go in...also when she sings her own music that she made like her "Lapponia" she sings entirely different from her AoB work. The music is actually in tune with he natural voice, more melodic and plenty of breathing room for her as a singer. I never understood why Jonas and Ulf always made songs that weren't in Linn's natural key and she would have to argue for them to change it like "All that she wants". Even "Everytime it rains" sounds better than any recorded AoB song because it brings out her talents as a singer. Such a shame we didn't get to hear more of that version of Linn.
@@187onasimp The only problem is a lot of things were a grey area in terms of what really happened, and the dramas that got introduced, because of all the parties involved. The aging of the band along with the image they wanted to keep, at least from the perspective of the demands of the record companies became burdensome. The thing is if Linn or Jenny went to do their own solo work outside of AOB, it also may have devalued the AOB brand a little further as well because the signature sound and melody of AOB songs is a product and hallmark of Jonas. I think the best thing to happen would have been if they were all able to have kept the Tech Noir project alive somehow alongside with AOB would have been the more "marketable" Pop brand, but unfortunately another band had the name of "Tech Noir". But the music from those early days had a much darker and more techno feel to it, and Linn's voice shined unbelievably in so many of their early works in a really unique way and would probably be an even better platform for where her solo work could have come out more. Linn and Jenny's solo work are also great but indeed very different as you had suggested in the style. Both of them have a very different style than the class AOB sound for sure.
