I follow so many airline and aircraft channels, work in the industry myself, so also super geek! The thing I love about this channel is how you pay for this out of your own pocket, no airline affiliation, no marketing, just your own individual opinion based on an honest purchase and use of the service, love it! Not only that in these trying times I find watching these such a release from our lockdown stress, puts a smile on my face! Thank you so much ❤️🙏
+Jacksontheavgeek It was a pity that the weather was so average! AKL is a fantastic airport to plane spot because there's a observation hill/car park on the east end of the run way. As I was driving past an A380 flew right over the car at quite a low altitude and I spent the rest of the trip cursing that I did stop and pull out my camera. Next time maybe! I'm booked on 11K next month and will be sure to report on EK's trans-tasman business class (which will be interesting to compare with First class) and the Qantas J offering too!
+Australian Flyer You're doing a lot of flying! Lucky you. Whilst I haven't tried QF's trans-tasman offering, it looks vastly inferior to the wide body product offered by EK (and LAN). One those two, you get a fully flat seat while the QF 737s only offer average domestic business class seat.
+Australian Flyer I've flown EK business class 6 times (3 out of Auckland, 3 back) to Glasgow and Europe and honestly, it holds up better than a lot of first classes :) 10/10
+CB1980 from what I've heard, the Qantas service and food is quite good on the trans tasman flights while the seat/IFE, as you've said, is average. But because it's such a short flight, you really don't need a flat bed so it's kinda wasted, so the food and service is more important. But I'll be sure to report and let you all know how it goes. :)
+travel welove Thanks for the kinds words - it was a great experience. I'll be testing trans-Tasman QF J and EK J next month so be sure to look out for my flight report then. :)
I always feel special when I travel through business class using Southwest LOL This makes southwest look extremely run down. I will experience first class through your videos :)
+Kimberly Del Rio Unfortunately the domestic First Class /Business class offerings in the USA aren't that impressive. Having said that, they're improving. AA offer quite good products in their trans-continental flights in their new A321s. The seats are almost on par with international F.
What a fantastic trip report, great work! I love how you show all the details of your flight. Must have been an amazing experience to fly that luxurious! Well done, big like from me! :)
+mylosairplanefan Thankyou mate. I'm trying to include all of the little practical details (like how the seats work...etc) to give people a taste of what it would be like to fly that product. In a few weeks I'll be flying in Emirates J and Qantas J and plan to be equally as comprehensive. Thanks again :)
+Trevor Andrews Hi Trevor, thanks for commenting! I've heard the same rumours so it'll be interesting to see what happens. I've just booked a ticket on this same flight on Jan 1st, but sadly I expect it'll be the current First Suite.
Hey, very cool report! You are so lucky to have experienced EK first class, it's such a dream of mine. The amount of food (and liquors ;)) is pretty insane for a 3 hour flight. I have to say, the mini bar is super fancy haha. Very good editing and filming as well! Subscribed and looking forward to your next one!
hey i have to say i love this video, its my dream to fly first class emirates a380 , my dream is to be pilot, but i am to young :( 2 years then i am 16 and i can fly a little plane, back to the vid, i love to see these video's so i can see what my dream looks like. a very big thanks to you that you want to do this, and thanks for sharing youre amazing experinces with us, thanks a lot!!! i allready flew in a a380 but in economie, it was the best day in my life! keep up the amazing work! again a big thanks!
Definitely in abetter condition than 23K in the older A380s, just looks more worn and honestly, on the new aircraft it's blissful but in the older aircraft, I'll just have my 9K back :) (Unless there's a free first class upgrade) looking forward to your J class video :)
+JacksonTripReports I tend to have a lot of bad luck when it comes to flying business class and often get the old product (my first CX, QF and LAN J flights were all in older superseded aircraft) so hopefully I'll get a newer one again. Thanks again for watching! :)
Hi, on LAN I was in Y, and it was 'ok' at best. FA's were a bit... meh. It was a 787-8. On EK I was in F (only pax that flight, seems like you were too?) and really enjoyed it. Very personal service.
+NeverNotFlying Sounds like our experiences were similar. I thought that the EK F seat map said that there were 4 of us in F, but I only ever saw one other passenger who was seated in 2A. Certainly quite good service.
+travel welove Yes but the sale is almost permanent. There's currently one now for $800NZD (which equals around $750AUD). BUT you have to book one-way flights from AKL (so use qantas.co.nz). If you booked via qantas.com.au, they'll want $1300 one-way.
+YMML SpottingTeam Absolutely. And don't worry if those prices aren't available as there would have to be a sale every 1-2 weeks. It's a great way to earn status credits too if you're chasing status with QF (and probably Emirates too).
Well what can I say. A great video. I am quite new to ur channel but so far I like what I see. I'd LOVE to fly Emirates one day, haven't yet. It is also my dream to fly for Emirates, although that's a far way away yet. I'm only in yr 9! But I'll get there no doubt. Great video, certainty keep it up! 😃
+jakerulz1000 Thanks for the kind words mate. Yr 9 is where it starts to get serious in school so make sure you work hard and start looking now at what subjects you need to do if you want to become a pilot. And if you don't get in the first time, always remember that there's back doors into every job/university.
+The Frequent Flyer yeah, I will have to start cracking down a bit more in order to maintain my spot in all of the top A classes. But senior years is where u really need to crack down (11 & 12).
It used to be that flying business was a step above and special, but Emirates 1st and the walk through of business its obvious that the A380 has changed that. So many business seats now. Saying that, I'm flying business for honeymoon to Mauritius later with EK and ecstatic still. But wow that 1st class cabin is exactly what I'd want. Jealous dude, very jealous. Hey there's a one in million chance of an upgrade.
+mrtodd3620 Hi mate, because the lounge is shared with business class passengers, I suspect it's so that the F cabin is protected from lowly J passengers. :) Otherwise, the J pax would have to walk through the F cabin.
+NewFlyer Yeah I'm not really sure. You can put up a 'do not disturb' sign but I'm not sure how easily they'd get your attention (maybe they can open the doors from outside?) I left my doors slightly open so that I wouldn't miss anything. :)
What a flight! You managed to experience everything in such a short space of time. Be sure to visit the Sydney First Lounge one day soon and I'm sure the champagne played a "hand" in your camera work - amazing video, keep them coming!
+Nachito sanz thankyou mate. Yes I'm keen to visit the QF F lounge in Sydney some time although unfortunately the only F flight I can afford would be the trans-Tasman EK flight and it leaves quite early in the morning.
Nice video, thanks for posting! The food didn't look first-class-ish, though. Good to see that the nuts weren't in a bag, though, as well all know what happens when airline president's daughters get on board...
These aircraft were magical, for those that could afford the luxury. Retired too soon, and what's worse replaced by modern sardine cans. OK wide body sardine cans.
Hi mate, not on that flight but I have done it since and they've given me an amenity kit when I've asked. Check out my Emirates F review from Christchurch to Sydney for a look at the amenity kit. :)
Silly question here, but i'v always wanted to know, is the food and drink free in theses first and business class lounges...great video by the way...one day i will get to fly emirates first class...
Hi +bluebarron351 , you need to look on the New Zealand Qantas website (qantas.co.nz) when there's a sale. From what I've seen, there's usually a sale on once every few weeks (you can register on skyscanner and they'll email you when there's a sale). I've never seen a 'sale' price on the Aussie website and the cheapest there will be around $1300 for the 'saver' ticket. The problem with the flight from Sydney is that it leaves too early to properly enjoy, although you do get access to the Sydney QF F lounge which is apparently very good.
Great video. So do you have buy a seperate fare for the first class from Auckland to Australia? Would if make a difference in the booking if I would be connecting to another Emirates flight. Say first class to Melbourne, then Economy to Dubai?
+Unome Teneux Thanks friend. If you wanted to fly in different cabins (classes), you'd need to book two different tickets. I'm not sure if you'd have to pick up your luggage at Melbourne and then check it in again for the next flight (although I'd imagine they'd be able to sent it through to Dubai from Auckland.) Are you thinking about doing that?
I would love to experience first class if it were only for 3 hours, I am flying next year to Paris, but my connections are all the same, but I wanted to know if in a booking I would book in my itinerary instead of flying economy from AKL-MEL I can buy a seperate one way, then catch my connecting flights as part of my itinerary MEL-DXB-CDG. Would that work?
+Unome Teneux You'd have to make two separate bookings, but you should be able to link them at AKL so that the bags continue on to CDG. So yes, you should be able to fly in First from AKL to MEL, then economy for the rest of the trip. If you are lucky, they may keep the First markings on your luggage and they may come out early at CDG. :)
I chose others and will choose Air France because service is spectacular and nice food and nice ladies (jk) nice seats were offered in the A380 (777 not that good) and they had even covered my blanket when I fell asleep without blanket so I chose them and will rate 5 star for Air France
+The Frequent Flyer The most shocking fact for me was how silent was the takeoff run. Really amazing. You did excellent editing job with interesting descriptions. Truly love it.
+Adam Witkowski Thanks again. Yep the A380s are certainly quiet birds, and also seat 1A is quite a distance forward of the engines too. Today I visited the Qantas Founders Museum (uploading a video as we speak) and got to sit in the captains chair of a 747-200 and I turned around and could barely see the wing and engines (in fact you could only just see the two outer engines.)
+The Frequent Flyer My son gave me "retirement gift" in year 2011. He bought me an one houer flight simulator experience on British Airways B747-200 at their Training Centre in Heathrow.Expecting that the experience will be close to MS Flight Simulator, was the biggest mistake. The feeling is completely different and controling the 747-200 was very hard (especially the ground steering with the teeler. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing this, it was an eye-opening 11 mins to say the least. Have you ever had the opportunity to fly as a couple?, it would be interesting to see any differences there. Who would you recommend for flights from U.K. to Australia, our son fell in love with an Aussie girl!
Thanks for watching. The middle two seats have a barrier that can be lowered so that's perfect for couples. There's many options to fly between the UK and Australia and they all depend on your budget, preferred travel class and if you have any particular airlines you wish to avoid.
Paul Stewart Thank you very much, Paul. It was the seating arrangements that I wanted to know about, I realise that the answer to the second question was really along the lines of "how long is a piece of string!"
But I think the massage is my absolute favorite part of Emirates business and first class. It really helps with the 14 hr flights for the back pain you can get from the long flights. I had it on the entire flight I flew on Emirates lol
ONLY 15% PEOPLE SAY ETIHAD HAS THE BEST FIRST CLASS??!! Well I’ll tell you folks, Emirates has second best First Class, Etihad is Number 1 and always will be, well maybe for the next year or so.
+workhardtravelharder I've since heard that it's far cheaper to fly to Auckland and store it there for a few hours than store it at Sydney for the whole day.
+NewFlyer A Sony A6000. Yeah but I figured that there's a lot of Emirates First class videos on You tube so they must be used to people filming everything. :)
Paul Stewart what the point of buying over $4000 just for a 2 hour flight. If I were you buy that for more than 10 hours in the air for example travelling from Melbourne to London

Nice! I always love watching emirates fly out of Auckland!
I was on this exact aircraft earlier this year in 9K, but it was through melbourne :)
+Jacksontheavgeek It was a pity that the weather was so average! AKL is a fantastic airport to plane spot because there's a observation hill/car park on the east end of the run way. That looked like an awesome experience, really cool to see the onboard showers and bar. Nice video!
+TheHDAviation Thanks for the kind words! :)
Look at the airhostess at 2:47, she wasn't expecting any passenger , she wanted to have a easy day at work ?
+Haider Raza hahaha tucking in her shirt
yeah noticed that haha
+Haider Raza i think she got an unlimited holiday hahaha
hahaha you saw that right!
Korean girl hahaha
Dom, wow thats impressive! looked like a great experience and great comments throughout, thanks for sharing
+travel welove Thanks for the kinds words - it was a great experience. I'll be testing trans-Tasman QF J and EK J next month so be sure to look out for my flight report then. :)
+Australian Flyer I've subscribed now, so sure will keep and eye out.
Nice video, the a380 and the food is amazing, congratulations!!!!
+PABLO MAGALLANES Thanks for the kind words!
Christchurch’s airport is crazy, had the most fearful take offs of my life... 😬
I always feel special when I travel through business class using Southwest LOL This makes southwest look extremely run down. I will experience first class through your videos :)

There's rumours about Emirates having new first class suites with beds. I hope you get to make a video of it when it arrives!
+Trevor Andrews Hi Trevor, thanks for commenting! I've heard the same rumours so it'll be interesting to see what happens. I've just booked a ticket on this same flight on Jan 1st, but sadly I expect it'll be the current First Suite.
+Premium Flyer Do you know if airlines/lounge do anything special for passengers traveling on new year's day or birthdays?
+Trevor Andrews Not that I'm aware of.
Thanks mate. Im off to try the business class on the same aircraft early next month so it'll be interesting to see how they compare.
Thanks for the wonderful video! I'd certainly love to try EK one day. It'd be such a novelty to have a shower in the sky!
+Emily H Thanks! The shower at 40,000ft is certainly a novelty! :) Having said that, I'm still very jelly that you got to try QF F! :)
the luxury displayed on A380 is kickin every other plane's ass
yep😌😌
Great video, one of the best I've seen👍
+Leo Jackson Thanks friend!
Thanks so much! I will look into it!! Plus I've subscribed to your channel. Can't wait to watch more of your videos!!
+Unome Teneux Thanks and enjoy your flight! Make sure you book the First class flight when there is a sale on so it should cost around $900 NZD.
lol the airhostess!! #shewasntready
Loving your channel, found it today and I really would love to fly the a380 business class from Dubai to Brisbane in December
Thanks for watching! :) Expect quite a few new flight reports from late June until the end of July.
The Best Airlines in world is Emirates I have travelled 3rd July 2018. Melbourne To Singapore with Frist class Suite wonderful experience in...
Glad to hear you enjoyed it

Great trip report. Looks like fun!!
+Melb22 Thanks
Money is the new honey... Great flight!
Thanks mate. I'm doing the same again in 4 weeks. :)
The Frequent Flyer from were to were?

The Frequent Flyer thanks cant wait to view it
Paul Stewart how long of a flight is it, I’m feeling a bit curios today, sorry 😐
2:48 Geesh you caught her off guard HAHAHAHAHA
That looks amazing great video I would really like to fly a long haul flight in that seat
I flew your exact aircraft in January from DXB-MEL-AKL in 9K, Im pretty sure she just recently got refurbed with the electronic window shades in F :D
+JacksonTripReports she's a comfortable bird isn't she! :)
No problem :)
Hi, nice report! I was on the same flight recently (also the LAN flight to AKL, and EK back to SYD), will be uploading a video too!
+NeverNotFlying How did you find the LAN flight, and was it the newer 787-9?
Hi, on LAN I was in Y, and it was 'ok' at best. FA's were a bit... meh. It was a 787-8. On EK I was in F (only pax that flight, seems like you were too?) and really enjoyed it. Very personal service.
+NeverNotFlying Sounds like our experiences were similar. I thought that the EK F seat map said that there were 4 of us in F, but I only ever saw one other passenger who was seated in 2A. Certainly quite good service.
Certainly have to try this one out! Great video mate:) Liked!
+YMML SpottingTeam Thanks! At $750, it's not as ridiculously expensive as you'd expect.
+Australian Flyer that is a good deal, that the Sale fare?
+travel welove Yes but the sale is almost permanent. There's currently one now for $800NZD (which equals around $750AUD). BUT you have to book one-way flights from AKL (so use qantas.co.nz). If you booked via qantas.com.au, they'll want $1300 one-way.
Australian Flyer Wow that's a superb price - Tom and I will have to get onto that one day indeed!!

Great video! Looks like fun!
+747KP Thanks
I like how they were ready for u when u arrived (not)
Nice flight report!
+OldFlyer Thanks
It used to be that flying business was a step above and special, but Emirates 1st and the walk through of business its obvious that the A380 has changed that. So many business seats now. +invisiblekid99 Good luck! :)
But I love your flight reports✈️😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I only flew in business once! And I always fly economy at the same route
Thanks for watching :)
That is interesting that you have to walk through business to get the lounge. I thought it was between business and first.
+mrtodd3620 Hi mate, because the lounge is shared with business class passengers, I suspect it's so that the F cabin is protected from lowly J passengers. :) Otherwise, the J pax would have to walk through the F cabin.
Looks like fun!! Nice video!
+StarAllianceFan Thanks
Wow! Amazing! Very well done! :)
+AussieAviator Thanks for the kind words! :)
That looks epic! Love the enclosed area best I've done is extra leg room :)
+ThatAeroplaneGuy Thanks mate, it was a fun flight!!
Nice video, thanks. I'm curious to know, if you close the doors, how do the FA's offer you food/drinks?
+NewFlyer Yeah I'm not really sure. You can put up a 'do not disturb' sign but I'm not sure how easily they'd get your attention (maybe they can open the doors from outside?) I left my doors slightly open so that I wouldn't miss anything. :)
+Australian Flyer Fair enough.
Paul Stewart b
Excellent video !!!!!
+Stephanie Vervack Thanks.
Great video!

Wow, fantastic video!

Nice video, thanks for posting! The food didn't look first-class-ish, though. Good to see that the nuts weren't in a bag, though, as well all know what happens when airline president's daughters get on board...
+Mark Smith Thanks!
+Mark Smith Yes, I flew the same route in business last year and this is the exact same menu we had then. Always enjoy your videos AF!
+MDRX thanks friend. EK J and QF J trans-tasman coming this Monday! :)
Shame for korean air
He didn't even get the caviar don't judge too quickly emirates first class is amazing
I love your vids
+Eden Horne Thanks!
These aircraft were magical, for those that could afford the luxury. Retired too soon, and what's worse replaced by modern sardine cans. OK wide body sardine cans.
The USB port is in credenza itself ... at the corner ... little bit fwd of meal table housing :)
Thanks for the correction. I flew EK F again later last year and did end up finding it. :) I need to edit this video with the extra info.
when he say hello his voice like mr bean HAHAHAHHA FOR REAL HAHA
+xharjhon Suarez I've never been told that I sound like Mr Bean, but now that I've thought about it, I guess I do sound a bit like him. :)
London to Auckland return last year in Emirates business class was perfect and almost a £1000 cheaper than BA or Air New Zealand
There's no doubt that the EK J offering is a good product.
Hello, Paul! Nice trip report, very well done! :)
Could you answer me a question? Did they gave the amenity kit for you?
Thanks!
Hi +darren fagan , yep everything in the lounge is free. :) And the food in the EK Auckland lounge was pretty damn good!
That’s a very short A380 flight and to think that Emirates does AKL to SYD
Brilliant Loved the Video
Thanks for watching and the kind words! :)
The year now is 2020, and I dare anyone to approach the open buffet, and obtain some food.
Nice video! Where did you find the $750 prices? All I can find is ~$1350 one-way.
+Australian Flyer Thanks for that. I'll looking into it!
+bluebarron351 Let us know how your flight goes if you managed to get one of the sale fares! :)
nice film !!!
+Dj Den Kot Thanks mate.
What program do you use for editing this video.
+Grand smudgers Hey mate, sorry for the late reply. I use iMovie.
love the vid could you make your quotes bigger I can't read them very well thanks love that big 380 awsome
Thanks mate - good feedback. I'll see what I can do with my future videos.

Dude I live in Dubai and I like Emirates I have not travelled in first but I have in business so I have seen video but the etihad apartments are great
I haven't tried the Etihad apartments but they certainly look impressive!
OMG!!! Is that real, the philippine airlines first landing in auckland parked right side of the plane

In philippines we always book flights for a A320 cebu pacific
i am beyond impressed
+Joshua Mwape Thanks for watching!
Excellent video. What equipment did you use ?
+Adam Witkowski Hey mate, thanks for the kind words. Just my iPhone 6 and Sony A6000.
Was it really necessary to buy first class tickets or is it just for the report anyway good vid
I'm not sure that flying first class is ever necessary, but still fun nonetheless. :)
Very Nice Video, Subbed :)
+XxTheGamerProXx Thanks mate!
No Problem :)
:)
But I think the massage is my absolute favorite part of Emirates business and first class. It really helps with the 14 hr flights for the back pain you can get from the long flights. I had it on the entire flight I flew on Emirates lol
الحلم ديالي شي نهار حتى أنا نكون من ناس الاغنياء ونسافر الله شحال زوين تسافر
Very nice
Thanks for watching.
Simon Matthews o
ONLY 15% PEOPLE SAY ETIHAD HAS THE BEST FIRST CLASS??!!
Well I’ll tell you folks, Emirates has second best First Class,
Etihad is Number 1 and always will be, well maybe for the next year or so.
I will never be able to afford such luxury ;_;
foxybingo2015 Oh ok
+Daniel Dankers Who would seriously pay that much for a 3 hour flight?
Not with that attitude
hey i was wondering What type of airhost are on emirates.I know they are from dubai but a lot seems asian and such
They're from all over the world. :)
Paul Stewart oh okay the.
With such an empty cabin, I'd wonder how EK can find it profitable to fly 3 (or more?) A380s to Auckland.
+workhardtravelharder I'd tend to wonder the same myself. F was very empty, as was J.
+workhardtravelharder I've since heard that it's far cheaper to fly to Auckland and store it there for a few hours than store it at Sydney for the whole day.
that emirate note book is awesome and is this yours? i mean can you take this at home?
+Mubariz Ahmad Hey mate, yep you can take it home. I've got it sitting somewhere. Thanks for watching.
very nice and could you tell me the theme name please. it's really pleasant .
There are several songs and they're listed in the video description. :)
Really wish I can ride a a380 how many money do you have to spend to ride a a380?
+Kenneth John Ocampo Depends entirely on the type of fare you purchase and on which route you fly. :)
the very first song. with piano . like Gm,A#
why would there even be first class for short distance flights
How are you able to go on all these flights? :D
+Dehan Mathew By having very little savings. :)
in the title of the video it says ek423??
+Micah Sullivan Ops sorry about that, I've fixed it. Thanks for letting me know. :)
What camera did you use? Did the FAs know you were filming? They must have wondered why you were taking the camera into the shower. haha. :)
+NewFlyer A Sony A6000. Yeah but I figured that there's a lot of Emirates First class videos on You tube so they must be used to people filming everything. :)
+Australian Flyer Thanks.
c'est magnifique
+hashimi Daoud Thank you!
02:48 that was hilarious lol...
+Deek Roumy The poor girl! She should have kept her shirt untucked and I wouldn't have noticed.
Awesome!!!
Thanks
Emirates nice flight
Thank for watching! I'm flying them again this coming December. :)
The Frequent Flyer where too ?
Between Christchurch and Sydney.
I’m surprised Emirates took a a380 for a 3 hr flight
? how did you go in the Qantas lounge
? Is'nt your boarding pass for the emirates lounge only
+IVIohammad 2005 Nope, you get access to both.
+The Frequent Flyer oh ok thanks
I love it
haha 1:03 EK435, im flying in that plane in 9 days.
Enjoy!
Honestly, there's no place in the sky like emirates & Qatar Airways.
+وليد الحيد It's pretty good mate. I'm trying Qatar for the first time this July and am keen to see what it's like.
i flew emrits i was going from per to syd to akl and it qot cannselld and we taken air new zealand
bro u need to check ur spelling
Tarmac? You mean the ramp?
Paul Stewart what the point of buying over $4000 just for a 2 hour flight. If I were you buy that for more than 10 hours in the air for example travelling from Melbourne to London
Struth who paid $4K for a 2hr flight? This flight was well under one quarter of that price.
Paul Stewart sorry mate, but really 1k for two hour flight journey
I paid far less than $1000.
Paul Stewart seriously how much did you pay for your ticket
it was a while ago but it may have been around $800.
looks great how much did it cost?
About $850 from memory
+The Frequent Flyer wow
Especially considering some ECONOMY seats cost $990
Great!
