First off how does an Immortal Technique/American Cholo interview happen?! Second everyone is always fascinated with "Dance With The devil"
I was always intrigued by "You Never Know" two years fresh out of High School in the L.A. Harbor Area got turned on to this east coast Brother via DFR (Divine Forces Radio) with Fidel Rodriguez 90.7 fm KPFK Los Angeles 98.7 fm Santa Barbara DFR was an "Underground Hip Hop" show Friday nights it was a great show with great knowledge with guests like Immortal Technique, David Ick, Dr Sebi etc...

I remember seeing this album cover at hip hop site in 99. I bought just cuz of it. I didn’t realize what a gym I had. When I heard dance with the devil , I tried not cry. I cried a little cuz it was so deep and the imagery was real cuz I understood what greed was about not grom only whst I’ve done, but the greed of why some of my friends and family are no longer here with me

  • @trap5413

Okay i dont know if anyone is even gonna see this comment or bother to read it but...
On the low, i have always taken this song seriously as it just genuinely sounded like it was from personal experience. Whether or not it was a true story from someone elses perspective or entirely fiction or a straight up confession in the form of a song, i would have believed it whatever the case was.
No judgement or anything and i mean the point i am driving at here is that the song is powerful and despite the twisted nature of what was happening in the story, it is very very real and to my knowledge there is nothing else quite like it.
Now the reason i say that ive always been under the impression that the song is....the real deal..is because of that line where he says something like "the story that im telling is true, cuz i was there when billy jacobs and i raped his mom too"
I KNOW that those are probably not at all the correct lyrics lol but for the record, thats what it sounded like to me and honestly i never checked the actual lyrics i just kinda rolled with it
