This is genuinely my ideal workspace and philosophy. I have a difficult conundrum with production vs. quality. At this time, I am unable to sacrifice quality for quantity. From what I have read from Nick in his excellent book, and seen from this video and others, I am grateful to know there are others who seem to put the quality of the product before the quantity.
When we go to Japan House at the University of see the cherry blossoms in Spring, we see (and sometimes sit on) the bench he made there to commemorate a sensei.
No chance this shop produces enough work to stay alive without his fame and $ backing. This is what you call a vanity project. Better than most vanity projects.
@LeeValleyTools I know Lee Valley sells tools in the US. I have bought from Lee Valley. That's not the question. Is Mr Offerman a Canadian? Maybe he doesn't like Mr Neilson? America should come first. Sorry Rob.
