  • Here’s a demo of the Fender Tone Master Deluxe Reverb amplifier, using no pedals or effects of any kind. Just my guitar, the amp, the foot switch that came with the amp, a 1/4” cable, and my two hands. Also, I didn’t use any kind of special microphones or DAW stuff to record this demo. I simply recorded this video using my iPhone 11, and then I posted it without editing it. This demo is as raw and honest as it could possibly be.
    The blue, sparkly tele I’m playing in this video is a partscaster loaded with a Gretsch High Sensitivity Filtertron neck pickup and a Seymour Duncan Jerry Donahue bridge pickup; and my gold, semi-hollow tele is loaded with Seymour Duncan Antiquity P90 pickups.

    So I just turn this video on really low in the background while I’ve been doing some sculpting. That sounds odd but it’s like hanging out with other creative folks. Adding a lot to my morning even though I don’t know a tremolo from a taquito. Thanks bud.

    I checked out the Blonde and the Black…went black and never looked back. It’s got that clean chime.

    I've been giging with the tm blonde deluxe for over three months know and I love it at 24 lbs. My back loves it to. And I'm tube snob

    Very nice playing good work on this. I ordered one of these amps and I can't wait to get it. I don't play country but hearing you do country licks on this makes me want to learn some chicken picking stuff. Thanks for you work on this.

    Tonemaster is changing the game... I have always had tube amps and still love them , but they are fragile and costly to maintain as a giving artist, and rough on the back too.
    Where the tone master comes in is it is 98% sound of its tube version and half the weight and maintenance free and some other bells such as Direct out and attenuator which makes it very practical for gigging artist and sound just as good live as its tube brother,so it's a win win situation..
    I keep my tube brothers at home and still love them ... the only thing that's kinda erks me is I personally think the tone master series are a bit on the high side as far as cost.. and they are to new to really know there reliability and if they can be serviced if needed.
    There is talk that the internals are not serviceable an if it ever breaks down you would have to replace the whole module sort of like the new TV s if they break down might as well buy a new one..
    That's gear say ,I haven't seen anything on repair but there seems to be a concern about it..time will tell.....but we live in a disposable world nowdays..

    Do you think it would be better do buy a tone master or a used 1968 Reissue (tubes) if they are around the same price?

      It’s just a partscaster I put together. It’s the sum total of an MJT relic body, a Mexican made Fender Classic Player Baja tele neck, Kluson tuners, an All-Parts chopped tele bridge & saddle set, a set of Lollar P-90 pickups, and some old Gibson Les Paul knobs I had laying around. It’s a Frankentele, but I love it.

    My goodness that sounds fantastic! So, my thoughts are max for good usable reverb is 6 and I’d probably use half that. But good to know what it’s usable limits are. Also the dirty parts sounded way better when you turned down the bass and boosted the treble. Fact even on tube DR’s you should lower the bass as you increase volume. So that part is actually accurate. What I was hoping to see is how it responds to lowering the guitar’s volume knob will it clean up like tube amps do? Great! Thanks!

    • @taylornauta
      @taylornauta  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It does clean up as you roll the volume knob back on your guitar.

    Awesome playing! Have you gigged with it live? Does it sit well in the mix and cut through?

    • @taylornauta
      @taylornauta  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thanks, man! I’ve gigged live with it several times now, and I’m very impressed with the way it sits in a mix. It cuts through very well. I’ve played shows with a mic in front of it, and I’ve also played shows using the balanced line out; but my favorite thing so far is to do both at the same time. This past Saturday night I used an A/B/Y switch and played through the Tone Master Deluxe Reverb AND Tone Master Super Reverb at the same time. The tone was enormous!!

    • @benjamingilmore825
      @benjamingilmore825 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Wow that sounds awesome! Do you have a feel for blonde vs black tone master deluxe? I’m thinking blonde might cut better live but not sure

    • @taylornauta
      @taylornauta  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@benjamingilmore825 The blond is warmer and fatter thanks to the “virtual bright cap” being cut, and the celestion neo creamback gives it a more pronounced mid-range. The blackface version has a scooped sound.

    What kind of pickups do you have in the blue tele?

    • @taylornauta
      @taylornauta  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That tele’s got a Seymour Duncan Jerry Donahue pickup in the bridge, and a Gretsch High Sensitivity Filtertron in the neck.

    With the attenuator full up does it stay clean, I use pedals for overdrive, don’t really want amp distortion

    • @taylornauta
      @taylornauta  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It all depends on where you’ve got the volume knob. It behaves just like a tube Deluxe Reverb.

    • @stevwills1445
      @stevwills1445 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Attenuators on digital amps dont really act like analog attenuators. Wether you are at 22 watts or .05 watts the tone will be the same. It's mainly the sheer volume that's going to change. See it more like a master volume on a digital amp.

    what neck pickup is that a TV jones classic or what ?

    • @taylornauta
      @taylornauta  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s a Gretsch High Sensitivity Filtertron. A bit darker sounding than the TV Jones Classic.

    Couldn't help notice the constant buzz before you started playing. Is that the amp?

    • @taylornauta
      @taylornauta  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s the P90’s & other single coil pickups. These guitars aren’t shielded.

    The only real test is to play it with a band. My new Princeton sounds great and in a room but when I played a gig it couldn’t keep up.

      @@taylornauta It's a video game character. You are good at guitar because you spend time practising instead of playing video games. I spend more time gaming than playing although I'm hoping that would change when I get my Tone Master Deluxe Reverb Blonde in a couple of days time.....
