He uses actual pictures and random photoshop edits for background. Traced anime scenes frame by frame for certain scenes. He does an OK job for the plot and VA and his thumbnails are nice but that's all.

I am an animation teacher, I have taught animation to my students for 6 years now, For me this is not even animation. I am not criticizing them but I get very angry when people call animatics as animation, You can't make 15 minutes of animation in 1 week even if you have a team of 50 people, animation is the most tiring and lengthy job in the world, The art of animation is fading away in our youth, if I ask one of them to do proper movment drawings, no one will be able to do it because we have started taking shortcuts today's youth are not giving importance to drawing they simply made a character with the pen tool in the computer and animate it in Flash or After Effects and they call it animation. 🤦🏽
That is what I told in my previous video, that animation is not a joke, I know most of them are making shit, but I think youtube is a entertainment platform so it doesn't matter from audience prospective that how you do and what you have made, they just want entertainment, and this factor completely destroyed animation on youtube, but still some creators like rg and kirti and many underrated youtbers are trying to achieve proper animation, and the trying is what I respect.
