I love your videos! I was so bummed to see that you didn't have any made for HELLP and preeclampsia though :(. Please consider making videos about those topics. They won't benefit me because I'm almost done with school but I'm sure it could help other nursing students!
an easy way to remember it is the following: VEAL CHOP V (variable) C (cord compression) E (early decels) H (head compression) A(acceleration) O (OK) L(late decels) P( placental insufficiency)
instead of MINE we were taught TOASt. Turn to the left side Ok Acceptable STop= Stop pitocin, Turn patient on side, O2 via face mask, Plain IV fluid increased Either way, these little mnemonics are super helpful!
My OB teacher taught us VEAL CHOP to remember. If you write them next to each other it tells you what's going on. V - variables ---> C - cord compression E - Earlies ----> H - Head compression (normal) A - Accelerations ------> O - oxygenation (baby has good oxygen) L - Lates -----> P - placental inefficiency
I know you have probably heard this many of times, but your are the icing on the cake to my nursing school studying. You make things so simple and you point out the important information. I am so blessed and grateful that I have found your channel and that you have even taken time out to help us struggling nurses to have confidence in what we love doing the most. Great job, thanks, I just like to talk about the nursing intervention because our professors like to ask about them. Early decelerations just document because is a normal finding. In the late deceleration, we can change mom's position to help that placenta to brings more oxygen. Remember if the mom is supine, she's compressing the inferior vena caba and reposition her helps a lot in that late deceleration. Variable deceleration is find because cord compression and we can reposition the mom again(Sims position)and brings oxygen, too. Im almost ready for my ENCLEX exam, thanks for that again.
You are amazingly talented with being able to convey these topics in a way that's easy to remember and learn!!! You have helped me tremendously in my nursing program. I graduate this May, thank you for doing this!!! ❤️❤️❤️ my journey of getting my RN has been less stressful thanks to you!!
