The man literally grabbing podiums, overtaking and fighting others with no mistakes, while watching TV, correcting his engineer, mentoring Lance , directing the race and giving penalties to drivers. And I'm 100 percent sure he can make better ratings than this 😂
@Teo Kotirinta He just brings the car home, quietly without crashing. Also, he does shank Quali sometimes such as in Australia and Monaco. Bottas is good when the car is good. Spain was an Anomolie due to significant floor damage for Bottas

I think that is because Piastri had some good qualifications and during the race went a bit backwards, were others are terrible at quali and minimally go forward. Nobody has more starts and wins than Lewis, but still his experience level is not set at 99. Verstappen score I do get to a point. At some point both Verstappen and Perez got each two wins and two poles. Very good for Perez, less good for Verstappen...
Exactly. He's arguably the most aware driver on the grid. As Martin Brundle put it earlier in the season: he doesn't just drive his car, but the cars of everyone around him as well.

I think awareness is also calculated by how many times drivers have been summoned to the stewards which Alonso had to do quite a few times last year as well as this year so maybe that's what influenced this rating but yeah, the overall metric seems a bit here and there
Leclerc should have at least the joint highest pace stat, I’d still say only 90 overall but it’s just flat out wrong to not have him near the top of pace
I disagree, Leclerc looks for the limit more than other drivers (and mostly pulls it off).. but I think he has too many accidents, which should be taken into account some way

Absolutely, combining the stats from this and last season, George is outqualifying Lewis and outscoring him in points. George had some bad luck already this season, otherwise he would probably be leading Lewis this season as well. It's also super weird how Hamilton his awareness went up after he was involved in incidents in 9 different races last season.
Race craft is determined by how many positions a driver increases over a race. Russell usually qualifies better than Stroll so he has less chance to better his position
In the last season, George has been involved in quite a few incidents as well while Lance kept his nose clean most of the time. Definitely George has a lot more potential and pace and the gap in racecraft shouldn't be that big, but there is something to be said te having Lance outscore him there based on the second half of 2022.
Oscar's racecraft essentially getting penalised because he's getting the best out of that McPotato and qualifying and ending races as basically around the same spot instead of qualifying crap and making up places is utterly ridiculous

There should be an extra stat: Consistency, the ability to generate consistent results within the expectations placed on them. THAT would be a stat that would shuffle the overall a bit.

You gotta factor in playability of the characters in the game. If it was honest, you'd have 3-4 drivers at the top, then a bunch of nothing, followed by some mid drivers and then comes the bottom of the barrel options. These ratings allow for fans to pick their 'hero' and do fairly well with them. Which is why the stats are all over the place and are most definitely not based on any stats.

Alonso's awareness needs to be higher and he should be second highest overall, especially considering Hamilton's awareness is really high, despite him being involved in multiple incidents last year, many of which were his fault.

Charles is ahead of Lando for sure, but he can't be close to Max on this. Pace stat is not just one lap pace, is overall pace, and specially this season Charles loses to a few drivers on overall pace.

From what I understand overtaking or gaining positions has a lot of influence on race craft, Alonso tends to qualify high, Hamilton has probably had to gain more places on track this season. Alonso has also been in more race incidents than Hamilton, that's going to negatively affect your awareness.

I'm not saying Bottas should be that high but we've all seen what he can do when that alfa actually works. Last season he came 6th in Bahrain and Spain, 5th in Imola, and overall he was in the top 10 in almost half of the races. These ratings reflect much on last season and not only the few races we've had this year.
I'd like to also point out Bottas had floor damage in Spain and Saudi Arabia, Baku, maybe Australia as well. In the races he 100% didn't have damage (Bahrain, Monaco, Miami), he preformed well. Maybe he could be an 86 or 87, but definitely not low 80s. On the other hand, Zhou should definitely be low 80s

The overall figures aren't far off but the individual figures are. How has Lewis got less pace than Fernando but Fernando has 16 less awareness? Also how do they calculate the averages, how much weight is given to each score.
78 awareness on a guy that not only just doesn’t crash, but can drive while he watches the race in the circuit screens or can remember situations of 2 years ago while being at 300kmph is an absolute crime
These ratings seem to have mainly been about how bad someone qualifies. Stroll keeps qualifying out of position therefore gets an amazing racecraft rating...
I think Lando's numbers make sense. Not had a competitive car, but outperformed it repeatedly (P3 in Spain Quali stands out), wiped the floor with his experienced, multiple grand prix winning teammate for 2 seasons straight, almost never crashes, avoids incidents, still outperforming a new teammate. I think the grade here reflects how highly he's thought of by other drivers who know their stuff as well. Red Bull want him, and even Hamilton came on radio to say how good he is that time in Austria. Definitely ahead of Perez, in my view. Would love to see him in that seat.
How is awareness calculated? Lewis at 94 when he has to ask if it's the last lap of the race and Fernando 78 when he has enough mental capacity left over to set up Lances brake balance and watch the race on the TV screens 🤦♂
How can Stroll have higher awareness than Alonso? Alonso is getting podiums while watching stroll's overtakes on the track monitor and Stroll has crashed into people while looking in his mirrors multiple times.
Latifi was a 66 for reference, I don’t think Sargeant is much better. Latifi gets a lot of shit but he out-qualified Russell and Albon multiple times and had some good performances

Alonso's awareness needs to be higher and he should be second highest overall, especially considering Hamilton's awareness is really high, despite him being involved in multiple incidents last year, many of which were his fault.

Do you really think Max is the best in qualifying given his poor qualifying record? Baku: easy pole. Miami: easy pole. Even in Monaco he was quite mediocre with the first 2 sectors and just a tenth faster than Ocon/ Leclerc in the last sector.

Charles is ahead of Lando for sure, but he can't be close to Max on this. Pace stat is not just one lap pace, is overall pace, and specially this season Charles loses to a few drivers on overall pace.

From what I understand overtaking or gaining positions has a lot of influence on race craft, Alonso tends to qualify high, Hamilton has probably had to gain more places on track this season. Alonso has also been in more race incidents than Hamilton, that's going to negatively affect your awareness.
I mean cmon, lewis rarely...very rarely makes mistakes and also clean driver on the other hand Alonso has 2021 max character(during alpine), well this year car suited him ...Lewis much stronger, better and consistent just wait towards the end of the season.

Lewis generally has to make more passes on track than Alonso

I'm not saying Bottas should be that high but we've all seen what he can do when that alfa actually works. Last season he came 6th in Bahrain and Spain, 5th in Imola, and overall he was in the top 10 in almost half of the races. These ratings reflect much on last season and not only the few races we've had this year.
I'd like to also point out Bottas had floor damage in Spain and Saudi Arabia, Baku, maybe Australia as well. In the races he 100% didn't have damage (Bahrain, Monaco, Miami), he preformed well. Maybe he could be an 86 or 87, but definitely not low 80s. On the other hand, Zhou should definitely be low 80s

The reason why the average isn’t dead on is because they add a couple points, give or take, for pace.
The overall figures aren't far off but the individual figures are. How has Lewis got less pace than Fernando but Fernando has 16 less awareness? Also how do they calculate the averages, how much weight is given to each score.

These ratings seem to have mainly been about how bad someone qualifies. Stroll keeps qualifying out of position therefore gets an amazing racecraft rating...
I think Lando's numbers make sense. Not had a competitive car, but outperformed it repeatedly (P3 in Spain Quali stands out), wiped the floor with his experienced, multiple grand prix winning teammate for 2 seasons straight, almost never crashes, avoids incidents, still outperforming a new teammate. I think the grade here reflects how highly he's thought of by other drivers who know their stuff as well. Red Bull want him, and even Hamilton came on radio to say how good he is that time in Austria.
Definitely ahead of Perez, in my view. Would love to see him in that seat.
How is awareness calculated? Lewis at 94 when he has to ask if it's the last lap of the race and Fernando 78 when he has enough mental capacity left over to set up Lances brake balance and watch the race on the TV screens 🤦♂
How can Stroll have higher awareness than Alonso? Alonso is getting podiums while watching stroll's overtakes on the track monitor and Stroll has crashed into people while looking in his mirrors multiple times.

As for overall ratings it seems to be right more or less, but individual stat ratings do not represent their actual abilities (for most drivers).
I think the overall rating for Leclerc is pretty fair although pace might be too low and racecraft/awareness too high. He is just too inconsistent compared to the drivers that are rated higher.
