I am curious, do the owners of the original song want the generated revenue? After what was given up were they accepting other people creating content based on their original?
I watched the whole thing and yeah if you know someone struggling with depression it can really hit hard and I was in tears because it became all too familiar for me but the backlash back in the 90s was probably because of the fact that depression was not as acceptable to be known as the stigma is still prevalent today but it’s a much better way of recognizing the struggle that’s affecting so many people

I have a hate-love relationship whit this anime, in one side, IT'S so epic and well made, but in the other side, it's so "unfinished", I know it has an ending, but, it's so open, I can't really feel like it was a story that ended right there, so for me, it's the ultimate anime of 12 or 24 + episodes, unfinished, like a lot of animes whit 12 or 24 episodes, or, whit the "world dead" kind of ending or the "everyone dies, the end!", wich, it's true, just kind off anoying, but it wouldn't bother me, if it wasn't because the anime is so god blessed, chiken nuggets, mister leonardo, blessed land, american yards experience, ice cream on late night, etc. Or, in other words, I love it!

It sounds like something that would play in a movie but as the outro. To me, Neon Genesis Evangelion is a show that describes how grief can affect someone. To the point where the ultimate way to pass on is having the world die along with you in order for you to find peace. Shinji(90's version) Is the embodiment of letting your past actions be used against you mentally. Whenever Shinji goes on Eva 01, its like his mind resets to that of the classic protagonist. But when he's out of Eva-01, he is just a boy. But with ptsd and mental damage This cover feels like a triumphant victory. But in reality, the symphony is to distract us from the fact that everyone in Eva is all destined to die. And we are all meant to be reunited with the thing that started it all, God... But in this case Lilith
