- Here's some of the before - during - and after shots of my 1940 Allis Chalmers B paint and light restoration. Replaced spindle bushings, wheel bearings, manifold, muffler, spark plug, and front tires. Cleaned carburetor, and painted. Planning to replace the back wheels next spring. It was alot of fun and the before and after pictures have a stark contrast!
Congratulations. I just purchased a 1944 Allis Chalmers C with a Woods 59" belly mower. I'm fixing all the mechanical stuff first then plan to paint her in the end. Orange power!!!
Sounds great! I wish I had a belly mower for mine!
Nice job saving that old girl. They were built to last, unlike today’s tractors. I have Persian Orange in my bloom
Damn auto correct, changed blood to bloom
Thank you, and yes, built so much better and simpler than today's equipment. My new project is a 1951 McCormick W6. They're like potatoe chips - once you start it's hard to stop!
I just restored my first one this year..!!
Careful, they're like potatoe chips!! Once you have one you want them all!
Sure be nice to hear the tractor run.
This is the best I have off hand - it and my H running side by side.

Bill hey sorry to hear about your wrist man! Hey by chance, what color orange did you end up using on your B, I'm in the middle of restoring a CA and having a hard time finding a color close to the original . Thanks Bill, I appreciate your time.
I went to Sherwin Williams and they mixed up some stuff for me. Here is what they gave me for when I want more:
F75KXE8941-8737
KEM-400
ALLIS CHALMERS ORANGE
SW9022 AUTO
And my wrist is getting better! Thanks, it was a "learning moment" lol.
