- Passed the Pennsylvania driver's license road test. This was my first attempt and just had 5 days i.e. 6-7 hours of experience behind the wheels in America.
A big thanks to Dr Bhabuk Koirala for his guidance, couldn't have done it without him. Started from a church's parking lot and progressed to a smooth left turn on a busy intersection. All this preparation got me through the test with ease.
I did it guys I’m a driver now , Good luck to everyone my advice is stay calm and relax and you will definitely get your license . God practice ,and watching this video gave me the courage to do it you can all do it. Congratulations in advance 🎉

I have my permit and im 20... i need more practice to go do my road test but when i do i hope i pass it first try if not ill go again! But congratulations on getting your license!!

Good rule of thumb for these tests is to go around 20-25 mph during the test, especially if you’re in a residential area
My son failed for doing 20mph he went to driven2drive

Thank you so much for posting this, I've been looking all over for a drivers test online from Pennsylvania and this really helped ease my nerves. I take my test tomorrow, or today I guess, so this is just some last minute studying. Congrats on passing and once again thank you!

Honestly I'm surprised he didn't get any comments on that. Before exiting the parking lot he signalled way too soon, looking like he could turn into 3 other driveways before turning at the road. And signalling around the curve before that parkade entrance without cancelling it immediately after looks like he intends to turn into the parkade

You're welcome. However, the complexity of the driving test seems to depend on the DMV office location. For instance, there weren't many busy intersections or freeways near the Norristown DMV. Nevertheless, the instructor might ask you to navigate more challenging roads if they are nearby.
I would suggest you to practice the roads that are nearby the test center.
@Manilshr yes... my dmv is the Norristown or Frazer location. But I think I will try to go to Norristown over Frazer. Thanks for this video, very helpful to know what to expect on test day.

Thank you very much for your video. I believe it has been very helpful to me. I have been listening to the English instructions in your video. The word after 'High beam' is' Back 'and I can't hear it clearly. Please repeat all the English instructions for the exam. Thank you very much. I am in Pennsylvania, and although I have 20 years of driving experience in other countries, I don't have time to practice driving, My biggest concern is that I can't understand the coach's English instructions during the road exam. I haven't made an appointment for coach training yet. Due to work reasons, I have to take a road test on Saturday in two days. Can you give me some advice?

Hoping to pass my test coming up on Dec 8th. The driving lesson I had today with a new instructor was absolutely TERRIBLE because he was more nervous than I was and incredibly impatient. Ugh!😫 Hoping my next lesson goes a lot smoother.

My Pennsylvania road test is next Saturday. Im nervous I wont be able to parallel park correctly & will fail instantly. I also felt that way walking into the permit but I passed that with a 💯
I just get nervous and cant help it. Im a confident driver though. Make it make sense.

I study every single day, nonstop, as it keeps my mind fresh, like my mom told me and I always pass each practice test (on the pa app)
I'm very determined to drive and willing to learn all I can about driving...am I nervous? yes, because it'll be my first time behind the wheel without having any driving experinece, I wish everyone else in the comments, good luck on their driving or permit test!
Just think of it like you did when you were a kid in those Cars just bigger. Big tip. Learn to drive on country roads. There's less chaos and less traffic. Then slowly work yourself into being around traffic.

The app is great!! I took my permit test today, the questions on the pa drivers practice test app are exactly the same as the real test, word for word. I tested myself every day multiple times a day and passed easily!
My wife took the test here, passed first try, the examiner actually took her on a different but similar route, instead of going back through the parking lot, she took a right turn onto pine street, back to the light and made a left back onto Johnson Highway, then left back into the shopping center that PennDOT is located, everything else the same
getting mine done tomorrow, wish me luck, this course looks like hell and may have racked my nerves more than eased them😂, however, all my friends told me the course im going to just takes you around a residential block and boom, test over
I had to do a 40 minute driver's test in Gotherburg city at 3 pm, the worst time possible as rush time starts at that time as everyone ends work. It's all on main city roads. Across different places in Gothenburg.

That is sooooo easy! Here in the UK you'll be driving for at least 40 minutes and will be driving in residential as well as busy main roads and in the middle of town. You'll also be driving on roads on which the speed limit is at least 60 mph. No way does that 'test' show an examiner you are competent to drive on your own!
Thanks for the information. I am glad we have it easier here, driving on the highway for the first time was nervy though, but the second time, not so much.
This greatly depends on your City and State in the US. Especially your local dmv. For those of us in the busy city it takes skills.

update- i failed. i did the parking and everything right we got to start driving as soon as we turned out of the drivers place i got a 16 point deduction (automatic fail). we turned on the same loctus street then turned right at the stop sign which i then made another wide turn he told me to turn right again which i then proceeded to make another wide turn i then turned left back on to the main street which someone honked at me then he told me to switch lanes back into the driving center trying to over explain where to turn which i then missed the turned went all the way to the light which he then told me aggressively to turn into my lane then go up to the light and make a left- i once again made a wrong turn back into the dmv and perfectly parked
Next Friday I will go test at norristown pa !!! Thank u for your video

Best of luck. I would suggest you learn about the area of the route and also practice parallel parking at the DMV location during the weekend or after office hours.

Got mine next week in Enola, PA. I was wondering if I am allowed to look at the backup camera at all during parallel parking?
I strictly used the mirrors. I'm not sure if occasional glances at the backup camera are restricted, but complete reliance on just the backup camera may not be allowed.

Not to close or to far from the curb
the farthest u can be from the curb is 12 inch u can get as close as u want as long u dont hit/go over the curb

Im doing mine at the dmv in bridgeville, pa. Any advice and tips, i really want to pass. I know its 10 mins but im nervous that the instructor is going to be rude. Also, is the parallel parking done at the one spot next to giant eagle? What kind of route are we doing? Wish me luck
Keep calm and remember what you practiced, you will do great. Come back and share your good news. If possible check out the roads around the DMV, I think it helps if you are familiar with the route. Best of luck!
I failed on my first try, i failed the parallel parking bc i wasnt next to the curb but in the box, the examiner had it for me, and he was sexist
I failed on my first try, the examiner was lil rude and sexist. I didnt get to do the driving, i had to do the parallel parking first and perfectly, u only get one chance, ur able to recover but only 3 reverses/3 drives. Its so stupid. The examiner had it for me. He was making me nervous.
I just took mine on friday march 15, 2024 and I PASSED ON MY SECOND TRY!!!! I had the same examiner as my bro did, and the same route as well. Im so proud of myself.🎉🎉😊😊

I used the PA Driver’s Practice Test app from the Apple Store, spent a couple of hours with the quizzes and questions and was ready.

do you know what speed you were going?
Parking lot speed was around 10mph (below 10mph mostly). In the road the the speed limit was 25 as it was mostly neighborhood so below 25mph.
They don't do the 3 point turn and reverse?
I think it is not part of the Pennsylvania test.

What happens if you go five below speed limit

Congrats man. I take my road test Monday. Doing it through a driving school for an insurance discount. The sucky part is the speed limit is 25 and the road is extremely busy (practiced the route today, waited at least 2 or 3 minutes at one stop sign lol). Hard to maintain below 25 going up and down hills.
