    It’s great that you speak of PPE, a lot of people neglect that. Been a machinist for over 30 years. I know parts get hot during grinding and drilling processes, but you should especially be careful wearing gloves while using rotating equipment, especially bench grinders. I would rather take a small chunk of skin off my finger than sucking my fingers into a grinder. I have personally seen some bad accidents. Just an fyi. Thanks

    Just found your channel like a week ago and I’m so impressed by your knowledge and skills when working on this car. You’re inspiring me to do the same to an sti. But I gotta know what splitter size you’re using bc I’m so lost trying to figure out what size fits for the front (I don’t have the skill to do what you did in this video). Anyways man keep up the awesome work I hope you see this comment lol

      Appreciate the support and definitely still learning everyday as I keep gling on these things. This was an APR Splitter so it was cut to size and came with their stock sized splitter rods. 🙏

    I know this is an OLD vid but I'm about to install the APR air dam & splitter on my 19 wrx.. but did you remove the skid plate too? Or just the front splash guard plastics? Im 99% sure I'm going to have to cut holes for my dump tubes as well

    Hi, Does the APR splitter have to be Chassis mounted ? no track use as its more for looks.

  • @Goodnuggz

    I'm about to mount the entire APR Carbon lip side skirts rear spats and the wind splitter. The brackets you made were very clear to see. I also just seen the quick disconnects that you're using for Karma. My real question is about the 80mm bolts and were you put them? Or what wholes you used to screw them into. Is there any way if I bought the quick disconnect that I'd be able to mount this up using them? I'll also drop this question on the karma video as well. Any information on size of quick disconnect would be greatly appreciated also.

      I snagged mine from Profesional awesome, I'd suggest the medium size mounts with the 35mm bolts if your getting their set. As for thr 80s there's two threaded holes under the front core support that they'll thread into

      @@Smeedia I appreciate you getting back so fast. I looked it up on their website and they have different options for length and size. Everything but the short length is sold out. I guess I'll have to wait or try to figure out a way to get the short mount to work. I don't even know what I'd connect it to. I don't want to get in the way of front mount piping. I'll wait it out and see how you're going to do it. BTW you said "their set". Who else makes something like this? Everything I come up with on searches is for the front stability post. They have Carter pins that can disconnect. But that's useless for what I'm trying to do. And have you used anything like this for your 17 STI?

    • @Smeedia
      @Smeedia  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I belive 9/16th and they were the stock bolts on the rear that mounted to the frame and M8 bolts. I don't recall the pitch or length though😖

    • @Smeedia
      @Smeedia  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't use the push clips anymore, now I had the hardware that bolts into the frame to hold everything in place. I'm not sure if there is a way to get the push clips back in 😫

    • @Smeedia
      @Smeedia  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2
