    diving 1360w/m2 by 4 is wrong... think about it again, considering illuminated is 1/2 a sphere it makes sense to divide by 2?

      Averaging the 'entire' Earth's TSA includes the dark side -- you are right for the average of the illuminated area

      I have been looking into this: this solar constant represents an instant event (in unit measurement it would be 1 second) so in this second the ray is not reaching the back side of the globe, so then how come we are not interested in the half globe instead? There are 86400 seconds in a day, and this effect in combination with rotation would be cumulative… Can you explain why is the whole sphere taken into cwlculation? Tnx
