My take on sm64.z64 is that the glitchy mario is actually the incarnation of mother nature inside the game, and it get rids of mario to "restore peace" no idea what mario did though

It’s not a creepypasta, it’s a rom called “SM64.z64” where you run through Bob-Omb Battlefield as more things go missing until the inevitable meeting with [Unknown](the guy shown here) where it then says “Everything Would Be Better Off Without You” hence the song being called “Better Off”
btw If you die by SM64.Z64 he will crash your game and i think taunt you for losing.

How did you manage to make the score/combo text stay in one place and note move with the HUD?
the fact that this mod ACTUALLY does that with your computer and then flies around the screen gives it so much life
but something thats a little upsetting is nobody tries to restore z's icon (really easy just swap the names)
Oddly enough, using the default icon also fits in a weird way.

it resets it to normal
the glitch thing is an external shader that appears as a separate program, you can see it in the taskbar when it shows up, it automatically closes when the song is finished

ts similar to a payload from a historical virus
but this one is harmless, all it does is apply a shader to your screen, and it is automatically closed after. like a really weird, melting set of glasses that you put on and take off.
