I’ve loved seeing your friendship with Rob grow over the last year or two. Both y’all my fav TH-cam guys. Rob is such a solid guy. And a hell of a rider!
Hey John ! Just wanted you to know how much I appreciate you! Loved watching you living in the moment and loving the scenery and the ride. it’s great to hear you just laughing and enjoying riding the motorcycle Thanks for all you do to bring us great content! Keep up the good work 👍🏻
I know I’m liking what I’m seeing! Both the Street Glide and the Road Glide are looking good! The changes were something they needed to do and they did a great job on these. My local dealership is selling these fast. They barely hit the floor and they’re gone.
Enjoyed the video! I have been seriously thinking of buying a new 24 Road Glide, but after taking a test ride on the 23 Fast Johnnie Road Glide today, I bought one , and very happy with it!
Congrats, I’m jealous. I was this close 👌🏻 to getting a 23 year model myself. Lots of dealers were practically giving them away to make room for the new 24’s. Gonna stick with my 07 SG thats paid for
Great video! Love the views, love the bikes, love watching you and Rob riding together. That looked like a ton of fun! And that sharkskin with the black….and carbon wheels 🔥🔥🔥
John, Harley needs you to get a road glide… at employee price or better. Then they need you to show the people how to add OEM Harley parts and build out your own personal cycle Finatticz ST! Frankly they should give you the bike and the parts and then allow you to sell it back and recoup cash that way. I know the marketing PR and finance people like that comment but oh well
Great video, CF!! Just 1 suggestion. When yall get invited to do this again, you and Big Rob should have a conversation real time through the helmets. I would've loved to hear your thoughts and opinions while riding with each other.
That road is awesome! I was able to ride it a couple times when I was on assignment in AZ. Absolutely beautiful. Great time to be there, gets really hot in summer. Water cooled heads on these bikes will help with that too. Enjoy
As a life long BMW guy who actually learned how to ride on Harleys, Harley did a great job with this 117 SG and RG. As I wrote elsewhere, I wish the windscreen were power adjustable, rear suspension were single shock with 4 plus inches travel and heated grips and seat were included, but it is leaps and bounds above the previous models. I never understood the CVO Market since I don't need a Penis extension, besides the price is way outside of my bike expenditure. Up until this moment, Harley lacked technology and rider aids, but now that is no longer an issue. I guess this is the German Touch!
But if you had the money and could easily spend it on a CVO without a second thought, like many if us do, would you still call it a penis extender, or just another choice in the world of fine motorcycles?
@@rossdonison4999 $50K not for a Harley or BMW or Ducati. Then again, I don't get the point of spending $300K for a Porsche 911 Turbo while you can have 90% of the fun with the base 911 for less than half of the Turbo's cost. Cheers. Safe rides.
Liking the blue color. Not feeling that sharkskin too much myself. The stock handlebars, what do they equate to? 12”? 14”? Some day you’ll ride into Zion Nat Park and the red rock in one area there is amazing. Still think you should hit Yosemite entering g from the 395/120 Tioga pass..you can loop through the high country down to the Valley..come out and head southwest toward the Sequoia..I live in the Sonora Ca area and I’ve got a lot of seat time in these Sierra Nevada mountains..hope you and Holy Shit take it in.
I don’t ride but I wanted to ask [a question]. If you could pick between a HD Glide or these fast bikes, would you say you have a better experience with a HD Glide?
HD colors are always top notch and some of the paint jobs blow me away, but I can not get into a blue on chrome motorcycle. Rob's bike is defiantly not the one I'd pick... The roads are cool and the views stunning..... But the off-road riding is where its at 😎
I've heard of dealerships that did whole body swaps to get chrome or black trims for customers who wanted it on a particular color. I'm kinda disappointed that there are no two-tone colors this year.😢
Mt. Charleston NW of Vegas is also a beautiful ride ! Totally different terrain vs desert areas. 👍🤠✌️ We rent a bike when in Vegas for a day in the winter. Cheaper than other days of Gambling !😉

Sooo many videos on the new Road Glide, but very few good video reviews on the Street Glide. Would be great to see something similar with the street Glide to compare them as I'm in the market and really torn between the two.
Hi John, thanks again for an awesome video!! The amount of time and effort you put into filming and editing.. a big thank you for sharing these unique experiences. We watchers are spoilt, you’re filming with a GoPro, an Insta360 and a drone.. wow that takes effort to make such high quality video’s. And you’ve a lot of them lately 🙏. The only negative to watching your video’s for me is that I get slightly jealous, living in a flat Netherlands is way too boring, especially in the winter months 😂
I never thought of the Vegas area to be a good place to ride and thought it was just desert, but wow, after watching these videos I want to go there now. And thx for going thru the gears w you and rob.. it was like I was there riding w you guys and both of you 2 have a good chemistry together. Great, Great video. Just found you through Matt @ Laidlaw (who’s a legend in my midwestern mind) and was hooked. Love how you just act like one of the guys I ride with. Thanks for for the informative vid on the bikes. Would you mind sharing your route for this ride?
@@HD-on2egIt all depends on your height and how you adjust the vent. The new vent is not designed to opened or closed, it’s meant to allow to move air around your helmet to limit buffeting. Typically it’s best to adjust to so you can just see down the vent, but it’s always good to play with to find where you like the air flow best.
These bikes were wind tunnel tested to reduce buffeting by 60%, with the proper application of the vent. Me personally, same height as Jon I’ll eventually get a little taller windshield for long distance riding but the stock set up is totally doable. Again, it’s all personal preference and comfortability.

awesome views for sure!!! so my fav color im seeing is the blue burst road glide looks very good. i was going to trade my 21 ultra in for one but i think power wise i would miss my stage 2
You might not. The MY24 117 has 11% more HP and 7% more torque, than your 114 when it was stock. There is also a stage 2 kit available… Also ride modes enhance that at well. This bike in sport mode flies!

It certainly appears Harley is streamlining the touring models. Perhaps offering packages to the consumer reducing floor models and creating an order style where customers picks color and package and dealer assembles once it is delivered.
